“It has been extremely difficult for us to put such a wonderful experience into words. Our experience began when stumbling upon a band, PopStyle, who we had never heard of before. After reaching out we were pleased to get a quick and genuine response back from Karl. From the first response the group clearly took our questions to heart and responded in a way which we felt comfortable that we had been heard, even after we had been forward about never hearing of them before. After deciding to go with them for the wedding night, we met in person to go over the night. Karl is a true professional and added some suggestion where we needed it and let us steer the ship as we wanted to. Ultimately we were happy and comfortable to put the night in his hands, they did not disappoint. As the wedding came around, it was clear that PopStyle knew how to perform. We received more compliments on the band throughout the night and on the impressive skill on just about every individual musician in the group. Which is something to say as more than a few of our guests have professional backgrounds in music. What struck us most was not only the raw talent and the ability to completely nail each song, but that the band itself had fun. You would never know they were not just a group of friends getting together to jam out. They danced, smiled, laughed, and even stepped into the crowd once or twice to have an epic horn or vocal solo back and forth. We will lastly say that one of our biggest complaints leaving weddings (DJ or Band) is when the musicians do not read the room and only play what they want, instead of play for the crowd. PopStyle knew how to direct the feeling of the night. Each song flowed from the last and set them up for the next set. They seemed to hit ever genre with expertise which gave something to everyone in the crowd. Our only reservations going into this was the lack of other reviews out there, given they are a newer band. We only hope that this speaks volumes to how incredible they are and comforts you in knowing you are hiring the best we have heard. “Lisa took the time to really get to know us and our preferences. She made sure all of our requests got in, and that every moment and introduction was special. “Brian was a pleasure to work with on our ceremony music! Not only is he a true talented professional, he made the process of planning our ceremony music so easy and made great suggestions. We wanted a cello duo with a piano and he made it happen with Chris Ott, who was also great! When I was preparing to walk down the aisle, hearing the beautiful music outside by the lake at the Aurora Inn, felt magical. “Justin was lovely to work with from the start. He was booked for another wedding, but he paired us up with Rob, an associate DJ of his. Both Rob and Justin were so so fun to work with. Rob took the time to text or set up whatever zoom calls we felt we needed. For the actual day, Rob was amazing. We had dinner service, reception, and "after party". Robs killed it with his flow between songs, and was incredibly accommodating and flexible if we had any requests in the moment, and was able to dodge or handle any "questionable" song requests that came his way. We knew that he always put my husband and I's wishes first. We also had multiple people comment on how good the DJ was during the reception, and after the fact! He also went above and beyond to pull heroics the day of to get some of our DIY spot lighting set up that wasn't set up the night prior. Rob was incredible to work with, and just as fun to chat with. Will miss working with them, but absolutely will be following their journeys and would use them again in a heartbeat! So thankful for Justin and Rob!”

“When my now husband and I began looking for a wedding DJ and photographer we put out requests for info from multiple companies. The owner and DJ, Matt, reached out to me within seconds of me sending a request to Soundwave and we set up a meeting. “BVTLive! was all around an excellent choice for our wedding. DJ Linx was amazing! His communication was incredible; he responded to our emails and messages quickly, usually within a few minutes to an hour. We ran through the whole night with him in a few video calls leading up to the wedding. We went through all family intro pronunciations and he double checked with everyone the day-of to make sure everything was correct. He worked with our day-of coordinator to ensure the timeline was correct and everything ran smoothly. We gave him a few spotify playlists that he stuck to very well, with a few additions that were perfect. He read the room very well and everyone had a great time - kids, adults, and older relatives. The midnighters were super easy to work with! They performed for both our ceremony and cocktail hour. From preplanning meetings to the wedding day, Mitch was extremely on top of everything to ensure our wedding day ran smoothly. When we had our live acoustic guitarist back out somewhat suddenly, we reached out to Mitch for references. To our surprise, he offered us an even better idea to have him play sax and a friend play guitar at the ceremony. Our venue was certainly not easy to deal with and was trying to control the entire wedding, cut our speeches short, and was rude to almost all of our vendors.
