Gideon Owen Wine Company is a historic winery, restaurant and event venue. The original stone structure was built by the Catwaba Island Wine Company in 1872, as a wine cooperative for local vineyard owners. Established in 1969, the 50-acre parcel in Brunswick with nothing more than an old barn and a dream. The barn, originally built in 1869, became the foundation for a Ski Lodge, but would ultimately become the event center that it is today.
