As Avery’s business grew, he brought in his brother Wes and best friend Landon Bell. Together, this talented trio works hard to bring the dreams of soon-to-be newlyweds to life. Motor City HDJ started in 1999 as a way to pay for college. The more of my friends' weddings I attended, the more I realized how many bad DJs are out there in the world. I decided at that point I was going to be the "anti-DJ," committing myself to do the opposite of the things that bad DJs do.

By the time she was three years old, Olivia Claggett was asking for a harp teacher. At six years old, she began taking piano lessons with Jean Wonders, and at eight she began Suzuki harp lessons with professional harpist, instructor, and adjudicator Candyce Dunham. She never looked back after her first lesson in October 2007. During her many years as a student, Olivia continued to push herself musically by competing in numerous competitions winning the annual Buckeye Christian School Organization’s spring competition for five consecutive years.
