“We fell in love with this venue the moment we drove up the road. My husband and I grew up in NJ, live in Brooklyn, and were looking for a venue that felt like a nature retreat while still being accessible for our friends and family. Milford is a great town just down the road and the hotels are so close too. Linnea and Alec were so communicative and helpful with the endless lists of questions we sent them. We cannot thank them enough for setting the stage for the weekend - and I'm just so impressed with how seamless and easy it felt to use their venue. We were struck just by the beauty of the whole property. It's absolutely marvelous! We were surrounded by charming little bunnies and butterflies the whole weekend. We took advantage of the place for the whole weekend - a Friday night pizza truck party, multiple pool and hot tub hangouts, and a Sunday bagel brunch in the barn. Everybody was raving about the barn, farmhouse, and cottage. The sunset during the reception created a great atmosphere for our guests to congregate and enjoy the lawn. We felt right at home and it made our wedding so incredibly special.”

“My husband and I got married at the CKE this October 2024. There aren’t enough words to express our gratitude to their entire team for all of their hard work to make our visions and dreams come to life. Each and every staff member was kind, and helpful. If you had a question you’d get a response promptly and always with a “let’s see what we can do attitude”. Katherine (the owner) made you feel a part of the CKE family and always was looking to make the planning process seamless and easy for us and our family. The CKE floral and design team made our big ideas all come to life- we had a visions of big branching centerpieces with florals tucked in, that Jess and her team absolutely delivered on. On top of that, we asked for an installation over our sweetheart table. Jess and her team have many suggestions and shared they visited Home Depot at least 3 times to see how it would hang, and the final installation beyond exceeded our expectations. The talent and grace their team exudes is what ever bride and groom look for in a team. The planning process was also so seamless due to their amazing coordinator team. We worked with Katrina, the kindest, most professional coordinator we have ever met. Katrina was available at every step of the planning process, providing thoughtful recommendations due to her very obvious experience. Katrina also was there for our wedding day of helping to manage the schedule, set up, constantly checking in, and making sure it all went according to plan (which it did). In addition during the reception Katrina was checking with us throughout the night to see if we wanted to pivot anything or if we needed anything. We are extremely grateful for her support! In addition, Kyle was our maitre d’ for the evening and he did an absolutely wonderful job. He made sure to check in with my husband and I as well as our immediate family members. He was so kind and professional! Lastly but very importantly- the food and drinks! Most of all of our guests shared that this was the best wedding food they have ever had. It is no small feat cooking for large groups and every aspect of the food from the cocktail hour to the dinner course was absolutely fantastic. These are a few quotes from guests: - “The food was gourmet.” - “This is the real deal.” - “The sushi… Oh, the sushi! So fresh!” In addition, the bartenders crushed it! Everyone was impressed by the quality of the drinks and we never had a line at the bar- they were fast and catered to our guests. I would highly recommend the CKE to future couples getting married. The aspect of the family business really shows and ensures you have a tailored experience for your wedding. The entire staff is kind and down to earth- always willing to help. We wish them nothing but the best for their future wedding seasons!”

“Our wedding day was absolutely perfect thanks to Hildegard and the SkyView staff! We planned our wedding less than a year out, and Hildegard was very accommodating and very responsive throughout the planning process - she was truly a pleasure to work with. On wedding day, we also had Jenn and Iwan helping out to make sure the day ran smoothly. We did our ceremony off-site so we cannot speak on that, but our cocktail hour and reception were absolutely awesome! We still have guests raving about how good the food was and how beautiful the venue and grounds are. You definitely get the best value for your money in terms of northern NJ wedding venues, and we couldn't recommend SkyView enough!”

“After attending a wedding at Perona Farms in 2021, my husband and I knew that we wanted to look there to host our wedding when we got engaged. We originally went to tour Perona with the intent of booking our wedding at the Refinery, but ended up falling in love with the look and feel of the Reserve. Leading up to the wedding we were matched up with an event coordinator who we didn’t have the best experience with. She was slow to respond to emails and questions, often not answering some of our questions if there were multiple questions asked, and sometimes provided incorrect or unclear information to us that we had to clarify multiple times. Besides that, our experience with Perona was completely seamless and we loved everyone that we worked with. Our ceremony coordinator (Anastasia) and maitre’d (Tommy) were absolutely amazing on the day of the wedding. Ana was literally picking pine needles out of my dress after we took pictures in the pines and was so kind, warm, and seemed truly excited to be part of our day. Tommy waited on us hand and foot during the reception and was always there if we needed a drink refill or had any requests. He waited until we sat down to serve us our dinners so that our plates weren’t sitting at the table and the food was served hot. He was attentive to the needs of our parents, as well. The morning of the wedding we used the Carriage House and Workshop for the bridal party to get ready. It’s a great space to utilize so that everyone in the bridal party can hang out and spend time together while getting ready with hair and makeup for the girls and pool/ping pong/darts/etc. for the guys. The girls were served breakfast and lunch as well as any drinks we wanted, and the guys were served lunch and drinks as well. The food at Perona Farms is unmatched as most of it is farm to table, with vegetables grown on the property and cheese and dairy sourced from a local dairy farm.”

“We knew that the North Shore House would be our wedding venue from the moment we walked in for the first time. We fell in love right away with how beautiful it is, both inside and especially outside by the lake. We were already convinced by that alone, then we met Eric, Kelly, Emma, and the rest of the staff who were so kind, professional, accommodating, and wonderful to work with that we were even more certain. We then went for a food tasting and were blown away. The food is amazing. (Don’t just book a wedding there for the food, go to the tavern and have dinner there. You’ll be glad you did.) Every single aspect of the planning from day one was made so easy by the staff. They made us feel special, like we were their most important clients ever. The people there are just absolutely the best, that can’t be emphasized enough. Then there’s the venue itself. The grounds outside by the lake where our ceremony and cocktail hour were are absolutely gorgeous. It’s all very well kept and you won’t find a more beautiful spot to get married. Inside where we had the reception has all been refinished and is just stunning. We loved the atmosphere and the vibe of the whole place. It’s not glitz and glamour, it’s classy and elegant and perfect. There are also a dozen or so rooms on the second and third floors, which we loved because we were able to stay the night with our family and friends after the wedding. The rooms are all refinished recently too and are equally beautiful. Let’s talk food. We did all night hors d'oeuvres rather than a traditional dinner, and the food was amazing. There was passed food as well as stations, and never a shortage. Everyone there said the food was great, zero complaints. There was so much, I couldn’t possibly list everything we had so I won’t even try. But it was SO. GOOD. If you’re thinking that maybe this is your kind of place for your wedding, don’t even think twice about it. There is no maybe. It’s definitely the place. We can’t thank the staff enough for everything they all did to make our wedding perfect. We love that we can even go back, eat at the tavern, and book a room for an anniversary perhaps. We couldn’t be happier that we chose The North Shore house!”
