“I found Mike via thumbtack & although on there it stated he was booked on my wedding date I thought I’d still reach out to him. I’m so happy I did because he put me in touch with our dj, thankyouteddy and he did an awesome job djing for our wedding! Mike was very informative and gave me plenty of information. He also has you do a questionnaire to help narrow down the right dj for you based off your music preferences. Mike will reached out periodically to follow up & also puts you in touch with the dj the week of the wedding to go over details. Teddy arrived on time and kept everyone on our toes throughout the night. The only thing I will say, is if you’re doing bridal party introductions it’s best to rehearse it if possible. Or give an exact time of the song for your dj to play when each couple comes out.”

“Funk Almighty was no doubt the best booking we made for our wedding. The band was electric and had a sound that can only be made from a group that plays together consistently. Their old funky classics and new hits were excellently played and made the dance floor the place to be! Some of our guests said their favorite part of the reception was the band, just watching them play and entertain was a great show. From initial inquiry, to final performance, they were responsive and professional. They performed live the songs for our first dance along with the father/bride and mother/groom dances as well. “Our DJ and the A Music Plus team was fantastic. Our venue was untraditional in that we had the entire rustic property for the weekend and one of my favorite things about a wedding is the dancing. I did not want to be constrained by a certain time the DJ would stop playing if I wanted to keep dancing with my favorite people. We also needed sound equipment to be provided. Surprisingly, this is difficult to find in the entertainment industry and if you do, it costs an arm and a leg or they begin charging by the hour, making budgeting exceedingly difficult to account for. Initially we were planning to make Spotify work with some speakers! But then we found A Music Plus. They were amazing! A Music Plus worked to make a contract and timeline that worked for US and was tailored to what was most important for our day. They were professional and responsive leading up in the final months of planning. But most importantly, they were a blast. Our DJ was comfortable on the mic when it was needed but didn't steal the show. He transitioned music seamlessly from cocktail hour to dinner and dancing and then really shined when we wanted to let loose and dance until 2AM. The vibes were spot-on and he picked songs that could actually be danced to and enjoyed! Thank you for making so many of our wedding memories possible!”

When we had to postpone our May 2020 wedding because of Covid, and then changed our August 2020 rescheduled wedding to more of an elopement with 17 people, he was really flexible and supportive and and just wanted to help in whatever way he could. Our wedding weekend turned out to be a little extra stressful and he was calm and professional the entire time. The timing and edits of the music all turned out perfectly and he does an awesome job as the Master of Ceremonies. “We loved working with the Music Man DJ Service leading up to and for our wedding on 10/12/24. The inquiry call was so thorough and helpful to start our planning process. Booking, pricing, and the planning tools were very clear and up front. The planning portal was SO helpful for those feeling overwhelmed by all the wedding decisions. We worked with DJ Shawn C and we cannot say enough good things about him. Our venue had a power outage day of and we had to completely pivot and change the day. He had a positive, calm attitude and rolled with the punches. We had to move to a new location after the ceremony and he did it seamlessly and quickly. We also had to completely change timing and order of our reception, and again he was able to touch base with us quickly and made it happen flawlessly. Our dance floor was packed and everyone had a blast. DJ Shawn truly helped the day come together, and we are thrilled he was our DJ. Can't recommend him enough!”

It even started raining right beforehand to make ANOTHER change of plans and she quickly adjusted her plan again to make sure her music could still be heard by our guests as we braved the rain and her instrument was protected.
