About this venue
Wimpy Farms is a family farm venue located in the beautiful north Georgia mountains of Dahlonega Georgia. The farm consists of over 100 acres of beautiful streams, ponds, large hardwoods, and gorgeous fenced pastures. One of the main focal points is our Old Covered Bridge which has been a wedding site for many sweet couples over the years. We have enjoyed letting people get married, do photo shoots, and host events on our farm for years and decided that it was finally time to incorporate this fun aspect of our lives into the rest of our family businesses! We are excited about this new chapter in our lives and look forward to ensuring that the new chapter of your life and marriage starts beautifully on our farm!

Preferred vendors of Wimpy Farms Events Venue
We are currently only booking our Elopement Packages, however, if you would like to book an event prior to our full vision of the venue being complete, please inquire!! The farm is beautiful regardless and may be just what you are looking for, as is!!
We would be delighted to show you our beautiful farm! Venue tours are done by appointment only. Weekdays are preferred but Saturday or Sunday appointments can be requested based on scheduling of events.
Yes! We will have a large bridal suite close to the barn once it is completed but in the meantime, we have a very nice small apartment on the property that we will be using for our brides. The Gentlemen will have access to our large sales office. Both are conveniently located on the property close to all the ceremony sites and have private restrooms and lounging areas.
Yes! Depending on the package that you choose, we have wooden benches, chairs, tables, focal points (arbor, cross, wine barrels), cake tables, gift tables and sweetheart table. We have a mixture of plastic round and rectangular, wooden round and rectangular and various others.
Linens are provided in most packages but we can add them to any package that you choose!
A day-of hostess is included in all packages. They are responsible for being a concierge on the property, making sure that you and your party have everything you need and that all of your supplies are directed to the right locations. If you need an event coordinator or day-of coordinator, please refer to our preferred vendor list.
No, you are welcome to use whatever vendors that you choose. However, our preferred vendor list comes highly recommended and have been used personally for many events we have hosted over the years. If you would like to use your own vendors, we must speak to them personally and they must provide proof of insurance. You can visit Dahlonega.org for help in finding lodging and other local services not listed in our preferred list.
Yes, you can bring your own food. We ask that you sign a waiver of liability and also dispose of all trash properly.
Absolutely! We have licensed bartenders and several bar cart vendors that you can add to any package.
We require a $100 non-refundable reservation fee to secure your date. From there we will determine the package that best suites your needs and require a 50% deposit. The remaining 50% and any add-ons will be invoiced at the 30-day meeting.
Yes, wi-fi is available at all the ceremony sites and our Bose Bluetooth sound system is included in some of the packages.

You can use candles as long as they are completely enclosed inside a container to eliminate any possibility of wax spills and fire hazards. We highly suggest using battery operated candles.
Yes, but they must be must be removed prior to your departure. Please do not use confetti, beads, silly spray, rice or bird seed as it is hard to clean and bird seed creates weeds. A nice alternative is sparklers, bubbles, floating lanterns or butterfly release.
We accept cash, check, credit card, Venmo, Zelle and Apple Pay.
Yes, a Rental Agreement with be provided once the $100 reservation fee is paid to reserve the date.
Of course! We welcome all couples!
Absolutely! We love animals! Especially well behaved ones! We just ask that you be respectful and promptly clean up any potty-time debris and dispose of it properly.
