About this venue
It seems like most of our best memories happened around water: swimming lessons in the pool, overnight camp at the lake, family vacations along the shore. At least in the Northeast, something seems to call us back to those times. Well, Water’s Edge Resort & Spa is on the water and hosts the best and most memorable weddings on the beach and in our ballrooms. Less than two hours from New York and Boston and under 45 minutes from Hartford, Water’s Edge has been welcoming brides, grooms and their families for decades. Our wedding team is client focused and responsive to your questions, thoughts and ideas. Listening is an enormous priority because we know that attention to detail defines a perfectly executed wedding. Traditional or unconventional, festive or understated, intimate or formal—your wedding will reflect your vision, your personality, all in front of a one-of-a-kind back drop along the Water’s Edge. The Royal Ballroom is our largest ocean-view ballroom at 3,520 square feet. This ballroom was last renovated in 2019 and features crystal chandeliers and a large private balcony looking out onto The Sound. This room can accommodate up to 220 guests, and is perfect for wedding receptions.

Unforgettable
From the moment we inquired about hosting our wedding at Water's Edge Resort and Spa, the staff was incredibly responsive and on time with all of their communications. Their attention to detail and commitment to ensuring our special day was evident in every interaction. They were always available, even after hours, to address any questions or concerns we had. The venue itself was stunning, and the culinary team delivered an unforgettable dining experience for our guests. Many people are still asking us about our cake! We are so grateful to the entire Water's Edge team for making our wedding day truly magical. Especially Melody who was so easygoing and very detail oriented throughout the entire process.

Melody and the entire team at Water’s Edge was amazing to work with. Our day was perfect and we wouldn’t have changed a thing. James was wonderful to work with on the day of and made sure everything went smoothly during our reception. We cannot recommend Water’s Edge and Melody enough!!
