About this venue
If you imagine a waterfront venue on your wedding day, then look at what the Water’s Edge Resort & Spa offers. Less than two hours from New York and Boston and under forty-five minutes from Hartford, Water’s Edge has been hosting the most memorable bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, ceremonies by the beach, and receptions in our ballrooms for decades. Traditional or unconventional, festive or formal – a view of the water complements any wedding. With the one-of-a-kind backdrop provided by the views of the water, it’s easy to see why Water’s Edge is a perennial wedding destination in Connecticut.

The Royal Ballroom is our largest ocean-view ballroom at 3,520 square feet. This ballroom was last renovated in 2019 and features crystal chandeliers and a large private balcony looking out onto The Sound. This room can accommodate up to 220 guests, and is perfect for wedding receptions.

The perfect day at the perfect place!
We had the most incredible experience working with the team at Water's Edge Resort and Spa for our wedding. From the moment we first reached out, they were open, professional, and genuinely excited to help make our day perfect. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, with an open and airy atmosphere and breathtaking views that created the ideal backdrop for our wedding. The staff, we worked with Melody, was incredibly organized and went above and beyond to ensure that every detail of our wedding day ran smoothly. The guests loved the bartenders and we appreciated everyone’s enthusiasm for us!We loved everything about Water's Edge and our day was everything we could've asked for and more!

From the moment we inquired about hosting our wedding at Water's Edge Resort and Spa, the staff was incredibly responsive and on time with all of their communications. Their attention to detail and commitment to ensuring our special day was evident in every interaction. They were always available, even after hours, to address any questions or concerns we had. The venue itself was stunning, and the culinary team delivered an unforgettable dining experience for our guests. Many people are still asking us about our cake! We are so grateful to the entire Water's Edge team for making our wedding day truly magical. Especially Melody who was so easygoing and very detail oriented throughout the entire process.

Melody and the entire team at Water’s Edge was amazing to work with. Our day was perfect and we wouldn’t have changed a thing. James was wonderful to work with on the day of and made sure everything went smoothly during our reception. We cannot recommend Water’s Edge and Melody enough!!
