I had my wedding here on October 18th, 2024, and while the venue is undeniably beautiful, the management is an absolute nightmare. If not for our amazing wedding planner, Darcha, acting as a buffer between us and the FBR staff, my husband and I might have canceled our wedding there altogether. We later discovered that many other couples have had similar experiences, with issues stemming from the staff’s greed, lack of professionalism, and an alarming turnover rate. Touring wedding venues is supposed to be one of the most exciting parts of planning a wedding. My husband and I toured this venue in August 2023 and immediately fell in love. Its charm and elegance made it feel perfect. After the tour, we reached out to the coordinator, Sari, for a quote. That’s when the red flags began to appear. It took weeks of relentless emails, calls, and texts to get a response. When the quote finally arrived, it was a shocking 80,000—far from what was discussed during the tour. It felt like we had been sold a dream that didn’t match reality. Frustrated, we explored other venues but couldn’t shake our attachment to this one. A few months later, under new management, we decided to give it another chance. This time, we secured a revised quote that was more reasonable. However, due to internal miscommunication and lack of responsiveness, they sold our desired date—October 19th—to another couple, despite assuring us it was on hold. It was devastating, as we had been planning for that date since August and it was now November. But it was clear that the management still couldn’t get their act together. Sari eventually appeased the issue, and we rescheduled for October 18th. Later down the road, the venue changed management yet again—its like fourth change in less than a year. That’s when Russell came on board, and he was a Godsend. Russell was kind, organized, and communicative, turning our experience around and making us feel valued. Without him, the venue wouldn’t even merit one star. Sadly, he didn’t stay long, and losing him was likely one of the worst things to happen to happen to this business. Fast forward to our wedding weekend. During the rehearsal, Marilola and Javier initially seemed warm and eager to help. However, their attitudes shifted dramatically after the wedding. My husband and I had paid 1,200 for an extra night in the Bowling Cottage to relax after our big day. According to our original contract, we weren’t scheduled to check out until 11 am on October 19th. Instead, we were rudely awakened at 5 am and told we needed to vacate immediately. Stunned, we contacted Marilola and Javier for an explanation. Rather than address our concerns, they berated us over the phone for over an hour. Their dismissive and combative tone made resolution impossible. Imagine being woken up at dawn and forced out of your room just hours after your wedding, despite paying extra for the space. What should have been a peaceful and joyful morning became a nightmare. While the venue’s beauty is undeniable, the mismanagement, unprofessionalism, and blatant disregard for their clients overshadow everything else. This place should be ashamed of itself, but it’s clear they lack even basic human decency. I hope this review helps other couples make an informed decision. No one deserves this kind of stress on what should be the happiest day of their lives.

The Falls at Blue Ridge was an incredible venue for our special night. From the very first interaction, the staff were quick to respond to all of our questions and provided us with incredibly helpful and kind guidance throughout the planning process. On the day of, the venue itself was simply stunning - the views were breathtaking and the food was exquisite. The level of professionalism and attention to detail from the staff was unmatched, and they truly went above and beyond to make our special day perfect. The Falls is a top-notch wedding venue and restaurant, and I can't say enough good things about the entire experience. The taste and presentation of the food was unlike anything I've ever had before. Bravo to the entire team at The Falls, they truly made our night unforgettable.

Our wedding is booked for October 2025 with The Falls, but I feel the need to write this review now to help other couples out. The Falls has completely cleared house and hired a new team of absolute rockstars. Both Russell and Kayla bent over backwards to help me tour this venue - virtually and in-person. They were incredibly responsive to emails and worked with me to coordinate things from out of state. Not only were my fiancé and I able to virtually tour the venue with Russell, but my mom and I scheduled a trip down to Georgia (from Michigan) with ONE WEEK’S NOTICE and we were able to easily schedule an in-person tour. Russell was kind, helpful, fun, knowledgeable, and ultra professional. He explained that the old team was not meeting expectations and the standards held by the owners, so they cleaned house and brought in team members that could meet those high expectations. So far, Russell and Kayla have been a DREAM to work with. This venue is STUNNING. Perfectly manicured, insane attention to detail (heck, even the bathrooms are gorgeous), and in the cutest area between Ellijay and Blue Ridge. It really is just as beautiful as it looks in pictures, if not more beautiful in person. Let me assure other couples, I am SO happy with my experience with The Falls so far. I am Type A to the max and Russell and Kayla have both exceeded my expectations when it comes to communication and professionalism. Every question that I’ve had has been answered within 24 hours, if not within minutes. I absolutely cannot wait to have my wedding here!

  • TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE-- AVOID

TERRIBLE experience. Our hearts were set on this place so we overlooked red flags in the process. So many things were terribly mismanaged, mishandled & horribly executed. We wasted our time & effort in 4 months of wedding planning by trying to make this place work. Don't do what we did & AVOID THIS PLACE! I cant imagine if we trusted this place to take charge of our wedding. They were so disorganized just with the planning process that I cant imagine what they would've been like the day of the wedding. We started communication with this wedding venue on November 2023 & they strung us along until February 2024 (when we were SUPPOSED to meet them for the wedding venue tour/tasting & they canceled on us via TEXT halfway into our 10 hr drive to the venue). They'd take days to weeks to respond to our messages/calls which was every time we communicated with them. There were multiple times where Sari (the Falls coordinator) would say that she will give us the information by the "end of the day", "by next week" or "in 24-48 hours" & it took them on average a week or more to send the information or get ANY response. They would go radio silent... even when we tried to contact them via email, text or phone asking for updates. We'd call & either there was no answer or "someone will get back to us"-- which, of course, they didn't. We understood they're a new wedding venue & we loved the vibe of this venue so we stuck through it-- which was a terrible idea. Fast forward to after all the terrible communication, Sari offered for us to visit the venue & have a tasting. We agreed & in summary, we had to re-schedule this THREE TIMES on THREE separate weekends-- where they would cancel LAST MINUTE (keep in mind, we reached out JUST for updates each day leading up to each scheduled tasting). We missed out on so many special events -- we missed out on a birthday, a shower & a vacation because we had planned on going to the venue! I can't imagine if we booked a flight and a hotel there because we wouldnt have gotten a refund for those. In one of these scheduled tastings, she went radio silent again. When we got closer to the date of our tasting, there was no response until the NIGHT before our tasting. After this 2nd last-minute cancellation, we arranged a call because we wanted to fix the problem & we thought we could make it work. During this phone call, she didn't apologize but kept making excuses that it was because of the "emailing system" (which seemed outlandish because we called & texted on top of emailing so they were definitely receiving messages from us). After this call, we got convinced to stick it out. My fiancee & I even made a new email to help "fix" the "emailing issue". RIGHT AFTER the phone call, we emailed her with this new email & she didn't respond! I emailed again to make sure she was getting it & no response. Keep in mind, I emailed other people & they were getting my emails just fine... On the last & final time we tried our scheduled tasting, same thing happened; radio silence. We figured it would be alright because everything was finalized (we picked out what we needed, we had an agenda of things to check out, etc.) but low and behold, a few hours into our drive to the venue, they canceled on us VIA TEXT! Not even a phone call... In summary, this venue had poor communication, was disorganized, and lacked accountability & adequate planning. They overpromised & underdelivered every opportunity they had---AVOID AT ALL COST!
