The Cottage Farmhouse is your timeless, white barn and outdoor venue located 55 miles west of Minneapolis, MN. From the moment you step onto the grounds, you will experience the beauty of the countryside with all of the reclaimed charm that makes our indoor/outdoor venue ideal for your one-of-a-kind day. We understand the pressure to have a beautiful wedding that is unique and sets you apart while working within the constraints of a budget. With over 350 weddings served and 60,000 guests, let us put our expertise to work for you. We have intentionally planned our spaces to be beautiful in pictures without needing an abundance of decor. Dinner under the stars! Our pergola is a unique space for your reception dinner or cocktail hour!
An unexpected gem—our pergola is the star of the show with your guests. This space, complete with an expansive patio, offers a great area for your guests to enjoy a unique dinner reception or sip a cold drink, mingle and relax at our bistro tables and chairs. Our Minnesota seasons are short, and we know your guests want to enjoy every minute in our beautiful outdoor spaces.

The original farmhouse was renovated and turned into our beautiful French-inspired Bridal Cottage
The Bridal Cottage of your dreams! The original farmhouse was renovated and turned into our beautiful French-inspired Bridal Cottage that features great lighting for your photographs, vintage furniture, large floor to ceiling mirror, cream velvet sofa, marble countertops, petite chandeliers and a fireplace. We even have a private deck overlooking our fruit trees where the bride can enjoy the beauty of the day. This building is heated and air conditioned and includes a mini refrigerator.

White, Timeless Barn
Our hundred-year-old white dairy barn, where you can take in the beauty of the natural wood, soaring 30-foot ceilings and crystal chandeliers, is ideal for an indoor ceremony.

Beautiful indoor reception space with a large stone fireplace!
Dinner is served under large chandeliers and tall arched ceilings followed by lots of dancing. This space was newly renovated to include a beautiful stone fireplace, white french doors, shiplap walls, and is heated/cooled.

Bride
The Cottage Farmhouse was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the very beginning, the team was accessible, kind, professional, and genuinely cared about making our day special. They checked in with us consistently throughout the planning process to ensure they knew our vision and tailored every detail to our needs. The venue itself was spacious and welcoming, with every space being the perfect size to accommodate our large wedding party. We felt so at ease working with this team, and they were always available to provide helpful guidance. This truly is the best wedding venue we could have chosen, and we are so grateful for the role they played in making our wedding day absolutely perfect.
Incredible Experience and Hospitality
As an Pastor/officiant with 8 years of experience doing weddings, I have had the pleasure of conducting ceremonies in various venues all around the state of MN but also the country as well, but this particular wedding venue truly stands out. From the moment I arrived, the staffs/owners professionalism and attention to detail were immediately apparent. The location is PERFECT, offering a seamless blend of modernism and farmhouse. Its no wonder they consistently have won awards for best barn venue in MN. What impressed me most was the hospitality extended to everyone involved. The staff went out of their way to ensure that their commitment to excellence was evident in every aspect. Namely, they include your very own Day-of-Wedding Coordinator in the cost of the venue. Which saves couples hundreds, if not thousands - and doesn't sacrifice quality. Their coordinators know their stuff! The overall experience was outstanding, and I would highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for a place that goes above and beyond. As an officiant, I intimately understand how stressful these life-changing events can be - and having a venue that HAS YOU is well worth much more than The Cottage Farmhouse costs. Well done!
