About this venue
As the largest natural and cultural history museum on Florida's Gulf Coast, The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature offers engaging exhibits as well as educational programs that interpret the scientific and cultural knowledge of Florida, the world, and our universe. In addition to permanent exhibits, the Museum features a constantly changing lineup of temporary exhibitions — offering something new to discover with each visit!

The Courtyard at The Bishop is the ideal location for large elegant gatherings, wedding receptions, galas, fundraising events, reunions and anniversary celebrations. With an underwater view of The Parker Manatee Rehabilitation Habitat, lighted fountain, covered Colonnade, classic lighting and use of our catering kitchen, the Courtyard is sure to impress your party guests.

The courtyard shares a glass wall with the Parker Manatee Rehabilitation Habitat, viewable from the Jeannie Kirkpatrick Boardroom, perfect for wedding preparations.
