The Engine Room

The Perfect Space for 20 Guests

Located on the main floor of the restaurant, The Engine Room is wheelchair accessible and sits just off of the main dining room, near the kitchen. It is flanked by floor to ceiling windows and doors, including the main patio entrance. The space can seat a max of 24 people comfortably. Cake/gift tables are available for set-up, but presentation materials are not available in this room. If your party has opted to not meet the minimum spend, other guests may be seated in this area.

    Southbound was the perfect venue for our rehearsal dinner. From the very beginning, they were extremely responsive and available 24/7 to answer any questions we had. Their communication style was excellent, which helped make the planning process seamless. The value they provided was unbeatable - the space was absolutely beautiful and our guests raved about the delicious food. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to make sure all of our requests were met. All of our guests had a wonderful time, and the photos turned out beautifully. We highly recommend Southbound to any couple looking for the best wedding venue in Atlanta.

    I photographed a wedding reception at Southbound's Peabody room for a couple that had eloped in Colorado earlier in the year. They had a drop-in, hors d'oeuvres and drinks setup, which this was perfect for, though I also know it's also suitable for sit-down dinners, live music and other types of events. Food was great, staff was friendly, what's not to like? IG @AlbionReid

    "Chamblee's Southbound restaurant hosted our wedding celebration on January 3, and it was nothing short of perfect! From start to finish, the team exceeded all expectations, making our special day truly unforgettable. The ambience was perfect --- elegant, warm, and inviting, creating an impressive setting for our celebration. Every detail in our private room, from the decor to the lighting, was thoughtfully arranged, setting a magical tone for the evening. The food was exceptional! Every dish (shrimp & grits, brisket, short ribs, fish tacos, roast chicken and more) was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, earning positive reviews from all our guests. The variety and quality exceeded our expectations, making it a highlight of our special day. Southbound's customer service also stood out. The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. They were attentive, professional, and genuinely kind, taking care of every detail so we could focus on enjoying the moment.
