A wedding venue with a story as rich and authentic as yours. Nestled between German Village & the Brewery District, High Line Car House blends industrial elegance with urban charm, led by a team with 25+ years of event expertise. Built in 1873 as a trolley barn for the Columbus streetcar system, it’s now a beautifully reimagined space perfect for unforgettable weddings and celebrations. A 2024 renovation introduced contemporary chandeliers and uplighting in our Grande Hall, a modern Foyer and Lounge with craftsman woodworking, and an urban Veranda that allows guests to enjoy the energy of High Street while surrounded by the privacy of lush greenery and twinkling café lights. Together & Company is our exclusive catering partner, which means your wedding will have style, taste, and wholehearted hospitality. Upon booking, you’ll be introduced to a dedicated design team, guiding you through every detail—from floor plans to the perfect menu. We can’t wait to bring your vision to life!

Our outdoor Veranda is perfect for ceremonies, cocktail hours or a private spot away from the party.
Adjacent to the Grande Hall and Foyer, this spot is a breath of fresh air at your reception. Surrounded by evergreen hedges, flowers and moveable potted seasonal flora, this space can be used in just about any way you dream.

Our new Foyer is accessed through the Outdoor Veranda and features: fine custom cabinetry and woodworking with welcome bar; “The Frame” QLED 4K TV for digital custom welcome images, slide shows, or bar menu; a private mini Lounge for storing valuables or pre-event preparations; and a spacious, serene private Powder Room.

The room is beautifully accented by our stunning new dimmable chandeliers, with several choices of uplighting colors to accent the historic walls and coordinate with your event - especially for your reception dance floor!

Perfect Wedding Venue
Our wedding at HLHC was gorgeous. Everything flowed nicely in that space. They have excellent staff who were all so helpful in planning the perfect day. They were flexible and easy to plan with out-of-state, and they were accommodating for me to visit and see the new renovations. Kate, our day-of coordinator, did an excellent job to make sure everything went smoothly. The catering and bartending services were fantastic! I'm still getting compliments on the cocktails, haha.
Beautiful venue and easy to work with
From our initial planning session to the actual day of our wedding we experienced excellent communication and attention to detail. Kate and Josh were so wonderful and made the experience much less stressful for us. Not to mention the venue is beautiful, with the wood floors and brick walls. Highly recommend!
I love the High Line Car House
High Line Car House was a dream wedding venue! Our wedding was there is summer 2021. Weather was perfect (I know High Line Car House has nothing to do with perfect weather) but I mention it because we got to be outside on the patio enjoying the downtown atmosphere of Columbus Ohio. The venue was great to work with in regards to set-up needs, coordinating dropping off decor ahead of time, scheduling a rehearsal, and end of night clean up. All of my vendors had very positive feedback when booking with each of them on being at High Line Car House as well. I would not change a single thing from the day. From the professionalism of the staff to the amazing food we were served, everything was perfect. I would highly recommend the High Line Car House for a wedding. You will be thrilled with the results!
What a package!
As a florist, I've worked with a number of the venues around the city and this is by far one of my favorites! The venue itself is stunning already and the upcoming renovations will only make it better! But the best part about this venue is the staff! Everyone is always so generous and helpful and they want to make sure even the smallest details are right! As an outside vendor, it's always a pleasure to work with them and we can't wait to see what new and creative things we can do with them in the future!
