About this venue

When working with Gertrude’s, the planning is easy and the payoff is immeasurable. With our view of the BMA Sculpture Gardens, we have an unbeatable combination of setting and cuisine that realizes your vision for an elegant, remarkable experience. Contrary to other venues with pre-set menus and a strict vendor list, we welcome your individual taste and style. Our chefs love to create custom menus, and our in-house coordinator will tailor your event to your imagination. We have everything on site for “one-stop shopping:” the tables, chairs, table linens, china, silverware, glassware, food, and bar are all included when booking. Gertrude's Restaurant

When working with Gertrude’s, the planning is easy and the payoff is immeasurable.

Gertrude’s can accommodate up to 180 guests for a stationed food event with use of the dining room and tented terrace; and up to 120 guests for a plated dinner within the dining room. Wedding Ceremonies are typically held in the sculpture garden, but in the event of inclement weather up to 120 attendees can be accommodated on Gertrude’s terrace, sheltered by the tent with standing room for remaining guests.

The venue rental fee includes use of venue space including our outdoor tent, tables, chairs, white linens for guest tables, all service ware, and additional labor costs for Gertrude’s and the BMA. The earliest a private event may begin is 6 pm; with a 6:30 pm ceremony start, if applicable. The latest a private event may end is 11 pm.
