Encompassing the walls of the Garden Pavilion, Utopia by Jaume Plensa, features the faces of diverse figures, wearing a calm, meditative expression, and are universal symbols of the beauty inherent in humanity. Commissioned specifically for the Garden Pavilion, Utopia is Plensa’s largest indoor work to date.

The Tassell-Wisner-Bottrall English Perennial Garden is the most horticulturally diverse amid our 158 acres. This fresh space honors its classic roots while inspiring a modern experience—one that’s distinctively Meijer Gardens. Wander through as you enjoy contemporary versions of typical English garden features: an inviting exedra bench, a rill, a cherry tree allée, a sunken garden, a knot garden, a wild garden at the top of the landscape.

We eloped and had a small, private reception approximately a month later with family and friends at Frederik Meijer Gardens. I cannot say enough amazing things about them. They went above and beyond, exceeded expectations, and the reception was beautiful and so much fun! I would highly recommend them for any wedding (or party) activities.

Yes, we offer plenty of complimentary on-site parking!

Yes, our facilities and grounds are all accessible.

Yes. We require $1 Million in General Liability Insurance for all events. Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park must be listed as an additional insured on your policy.

Room and catering deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel your event within 180 days of your booked date, you are liable for the remaining balance on your contracted rental.

The number of hours in your rental varies based on time of day. Our standard daytime rental is one-hour of setup with four hours of event time. Our standard evening rental is one-hour of setup with five hours of event time. Additional time is available and is priced according to your event space.

Your rental fee includes tables and chairs with setup, complimentary parking, Event Coordinator services during the planning period and day of, and complimentary access to any open and available gardens and/or greenhouses for your guests. Catering prices are inclusive of china, flatware, and glassware.
