Garfield Park Conservatory

The Palm House is home to graceful palms, interspersed with a variety of other tropical plants, and soar up to a vaulted ceiling.

Located at 300 N. Central Park Ave. Chicago, IL 60624 The Garfield Park Conservatory is one of the largest and most stunning conservatories in the nation. Often referred to as "landscape art under glass," the conservatory occupies approximately two acres inside, where thousands of plant species are on display throughout eight rooms in this magnificent facility. Traveling through the conservatory allows visitors to experience lush flora and tropical temperatures away from the hustle and bustle of Chicago. Don’t forget to visit the 12 acres of stunning outdoor gardens during the summer!

South Shore Cultural Center Park

This cultural haven was founded in 1905 and later rebuilt in 1916!

Located at 7059 S. South Shore Dr. Chicago, IL 60649 Located in the South Shore community, South Shore Cultural Center (formerly the South Shore Country Club) is a cultural facility that has been recognized as a Chicago Landmark (2004) and is also listed on the National Register (1975). This cultural haven was founded in 1905 and later rebuilt in 1916. Bought by the Chicago Park District in 1975, this historic building was restored as a historic landmark after a massive community campaign led by the Chicago Park District and historic preservationists. South Shore Cultural Center totals 70.84 acres. With its magnificent country club-like interior, this facility features a solarium, formal dining hall, and the Paul Robeson Theater. Green features of the park include a nature sanctuary and a butterfly garden. Outside, the park offers a nine-hole golf course, a beach, and open spaces for picnics and walks. Many of these spaces are available for rental including our solarium, dining room, and theater.

Northerly Island Park

Northerly Island Park is a 119.7-acre park situated along the Lake Michigan shoreline on Chicago’s beautiful Museum Campus.

Located at 1521 S. Linn White Dr. Chicago, IL 60605 Northerly Island Park is a 119.7-acre park situated along the Lake Michigan shoreline on Chicago’s beautiful Museum Campus. Chicago's famous architect and planner Daniel H. Burnham imagined Northerly Island as one of the northernmost points in a series of manmade islands stretching between Grant and Jackson Parks and exists as the only island to be completed. The site of the Century of Progress World Fair in 1933, Northerly Island has since been transformed into an urban nature sanctuary, making it the ideal location to investigate the intersection of Chicago’s natural and built environments.

Promontory Point

Constructed in the early 1930s, this venue was once the a prominent local landmark during early settlement of the Chicago area.

Positioned directly on the banks of Lake Michigan and South Lake Shore Drive, Promontory Point presents brides and grooms a historic and scenic setting to host a remarkable wedding and reception. Located south of downtown Chicago inside scenic Hyde Park, this venue lies just steps from the water and provides couples with an elegant blend of indoor and outdoor spaces to tie the knot.

Columbus Park Refectory

Located in the Northeast corner of historic Columbus Park, the beautiful Refectory building is a popular destination for weddings and other special events.

Located at 5701 W Jackson Blvd. Chicago, IL 60644 The design for the grounds of Columbus Park, considered the masterpiece of Jens Jenson Dean of Prairie-style architecture was inspired by the site's natural history and topography. This inspiration is evident in the Refectory's serene setting a surrounding landscape that features two natural-looking waterfalls, stratified stonework ledges, a large lagoon, and abundant native plant life.
