Altamont Manor

The gardens at the Altamont Manor provide a wonderful and unique setting for outdoor ceremonies and an unmatched backdrop for wedding photography. Each season brings its own distinct combination of flowers and foliage. Ceremonies take place in the sunken garden, shaded by a canopy of black walnut trees which beautifully filter the afternoon light for ceremonies under the trellis.

The dining room will be the centerpiece of your day, providing a space for your guests to eat, drink, and be merry. The dining room has the capacity to seat up to 150 people while including space for a dance floor and DJ. Floor to ceiling windows encircle the room and provide a beautiful view of not only the gardens of the manor, but also a glimpse of the Hudson river valley.

In the tradition of classic verandas, the Altamont Manor’s veranda is almost 100 feet long, with a gleaming mahogany ceiling and gracefully tapered columns. The veranda offers a respite from the sun and shelter from the rain. The veranda also serves as a perfect location for cocktails and hor’s doeuvres. For smaller parties, the veranda can be used as a location for the ceremony in case of rain, while still having a beautiful view of the grounds and gardens.

Originally a summer breakfast room, the Round Room provides an elegant setting for all types of wedding cakes. Encircled in French windows, the round room is filled with natural light that creates an open and airy environment. Set off the round room, adjoining the dining room is the bar. The bar itself is a beautiful piece of original woodwork which curves through the room, and is a great place for your guests to enjoy a drink, or to admire the original 1890's craftsmanship.
