Naupaka Events & Weddings

Born and raised on the island of Oahu, Dayna developed interest in special events through her extensive work experiences and college eduction. It was the moment she married her husband, a Paniolo (cowboy) from Hawai’i Island, that she found her passion to help other couples with their own wedding. Their wedding theme was “Mauka to Makai” meaning “from the mountain side to the ocean side” because of where they grew up - similar to how the Naupaka is grown on the mountain side and by the ocean side.

Dayna and her team proved to be creative, budget-conscious, and thorough in planning every aspect of our special day. Every vendor they recommended was outstanding, and when we had one last minute vendor cancellation, Dayna immediately provided excellent backup options. The Naupaka team managed all of our vendors seamlessly, and provided tons of suggestions and support in making our wedding a wonderful and unique experience for us and our guests.     Naupaka Events was incredible! We hired Dayna as our Day of Coordinator, the owner of Naupaka Events, 3 months before our wedding and felt an instant connection with her. I had spoke with 4 other planners prior, all that made us feel like just another wedding. Dayna was different, she made you feel that your wedding was just as special to her as it was to us. As soon as we hired her, I was instantly less stressed and enjoyed the planning process so much more. She helped me get organized right away. Our venue was a beautiful estate, which had some challenges. When she was hired, the first thing she did was book a property tour so she was fully prepared. I had also never seen our venue in person since I was in California, so she took tons of videos and pictures for me. She helped me find vendors when I was having trouble, she worked with my budget, came up with great options for any issues that arose, kept all my vendors on the same page and organized, and was always available to talk/ answer all questions. My husband and I were supposed to clear lanai furniture at the house the day before the wedding so the supply rental company could deliver everything. However, the company came early to deliver and we were still on our snorkel tour. Dayna and her husband drove to our venue and took care of it all, so we could just enjoy our tour. They moved tons of furniture for us, and saved us so much stress. It was just one of the many things Dayna did extra to ensure everything went smoothly. The day of the wedding was so relaxing because Dayna did everything while I just enjoyed getting ready. She set up tons of candles, place cards, pictures, chairs, tables, signs, and the entire bar. As the ceremony started, so did the rain unexpectedly. Again, thanks to Danya I had no worries. She took care of everything since our reception was mostly outside. Moved tables and rearranged so everyone was under cover. The day went perfect and the rain really had no effect. Dayna goes the extra mile and more! She helps create your perfect day, understanding what you want and making it happen. I felt so comfortable with her and enjoyed every conversation we had. She is extremely professional, and filled with aloha. Thank you Naupaka Events for our dream day!
