  • The Single Worst Decision of Our Wedding

DO NOT HIRE Naomi Zora Events — The Single Worst Decision of Our Wedding Naomi Zora was the stain on my wedding dress. If I could give negative stars, I would. Despite paying for her full package, she delivered nothing but stress, mistakes, and disappointment. Before the wedding, communication with Naomi was irritating. Most of the time I would get an automatic out-of-office email response or need to wait at least about a week to get a response. I would also follow up by text messages, curious if she ever received my unanswered emails, previous texts, or calls. We got a generic, impersonal checklist that didn’t reflect anything we discussed during our ONE planning call. Every question was brushed off, responding with “ it's personal preference.” She aggressively chased vendor receipts—clearly to ensure her kickbacks—but ignored important follow-ups. When I finally voiced concerns, Naomi replied with a long email about how “wedding planning is invisible work.” She certainly leaned into the “invisible” part—we never saw her do a thing. On the wedding day, Naomi popped up a couple of yards behind my chair while I was getting my makeup done and awkwardly said “nice to meet you.” No eye contact, no intro to her assistant. She never introduced herself to my husband—he had no idea who she was until after the wedding. No rehearsal was provided despite our request, which led to awkward errors. Naomi couldn’t even manage a sand ceremony. We asked for two vases and she added a third. She was MIA when guests arrived, leaving them confused. Families sat on the wrong sides. A whole front-row section was empty. Our guests watched a random man from the beach wander in and eat our food from our cocktail hour food display—while Naomi was nowhere. Florist: Naomi told us to go with a florist who couldn’t provide the arch we wanted, saying we should “secure him anyway.” Only after pushing did she suggest someone else—90 minutes away, likely for a kickback. In the end, the arrangements were wrong: missing requested flowers and greenery; they looked like the same sad overgrown weeds we were originally shown before requests for changes were made. DJ: Naomi’s DJ sent us a music worksheet expecting us to pick songs only from his standard lists. Even after we sent him the songs we wanted for our wedding he replied that they “typically stick to the worksheet.” To make it easier for him and get the music we wanted we sent him a playlist of all the songs we wanted in the order of our wedding. Dance Floor: Naomi gave no guidance. We almost overpaid for the largest floor until the venue coordinator, not Naomi, stepped in to help. Naomi either didn’t care or wanted us to overspend. Photographer: The photos were awful—harsh shadows, bad angles, and poor lighting. Some had half of my husband’s head cut off. Many were turned black and white without our permission; when I requested the originals, I was told they wouldn't be edited. Final Straw: After our send-off, Naomi asked my mother to bring items to our suite—while we were finally alone, newly married. No boundaries. No professionalism. Final Thoughts: I planned every single detail of my wedding myself. Naomi didn’t personalize, manage, follow through, or care. She showed up late, stayed silent, and delivered nothing. I wouldn’t hire her if she were free. Scratch that—I wouldn’t hire her if she paid me. So let me be very clear: Naomi Zora Events is a scam. Save yourself the heartbreak. Run far, far away.
