Best decision we made :)
Let me start by saying, I have absolutely no idea what I would have done without Mia and Olivia! This was my first major vendor that I booked, because I knew how helpful they would be. From our very first call to the day of the wedding, they were with me every step of the way. They are both incredibly kind, warm and welcoming. They are organized, thoughtful and were always available to answer any questions or offer advice/recommendations. They helped with a detailed timeline (that proved to be so important and helpful from the very beginning!) and floorplan to help bring the vision to life. While not contractually obligated to help with anything other than day of, they were both more than happy to help with anything during the entire wedding planning process. As someone who loves to be in the know, it was really easy to hand the reins over - I was super comfortable and at ease letting them handle everything. They knew all of the right questions to ask and made sure things were top of mind when necessary. All of our friends and family shared the same sentiment and let us know constantly how nice and helpful they were at all times. Olivia brought our vision to life! Everything looked perfect and the day went smoother than I could have ever hoped for. I cannot stress enough the value Mia and Olivia brought to our wedding. We cannot recommend her services enough - if you're looking for a planner who will go above and beyond, you've found the best one! Thank you so much for EVERYTHING truly - I can't imagine what our day would have been without you both a part of it!

“I am more than happy to have a chance to sing your praises! I thought I'd address a few things that Mark and Caroline probably didn't/couldn't b/c of my role in finding and hiring you. When Caroline and Mark chose BRYC for their wedding venue, I was both happy and worried! The club, while just a beautiful setting, was in the middle of a complete staff change including GM, chef and servers...it was an unnerving time! There was an interim GM and working with him was not giving me any faith that this event was going to come off well, and I knew I needed help...so I went looking and found Mia! I found Mia by searching for other weddings that were held at BRYC and looking through their vendor list - I wanted to hire someone familiar with the place, and also, I could ask the other families/clients how it all went personally. I am SO happy I did! I thought I was hiring Mia to kind of "replace" the management that I was worried about,. However, between the time I booked Mia and the actual wedding, a new GM and staff was hired and I was feeling slightly better, and wondered if I had jumped the gun. I can 100% say I did not! Not only DID Mia manage the wedding where some things at the club would have fallen through the cracks, I wasn't prepared for how calming (and frankly necessary!) it was to have someone so capable in charge on the actual day of! I hadn't been thinking about the actual day, I was worried about the organization - but it was AMAZING to have Mia there to take of everything and everyone. She not only had the venue set exactly as it was dreamed, she kept us all on track all day with zero stress, took care of all of us in the most joyful way and did it all with a smile on her face - she was as happy to be there as we were! I did not have to think about anything - she did it all: watched the timing all day, coordinated with the DJ for intros, dances and speeches, coordinated with the venue on the millions of details, set up sparklers, pillows, flowers, favors and on and on and on! And I never thought about a single detail all day..I just kept dancing! The day goes so fast and so much flies by. One of my favorite Mia moments, and one that solidified my decision, was when I was frustrated that the club wasn't understanding that we did not want certain lighting hung in the tent - even though we had all discussed it more than once. After that frustrating meeting, Mia assured me that the lights would be taken down "even if she had to climb up there and take them down herself?" If anyone is on the fence about hiring a Day -of wedding coordinator, I would absolutely say "hop off" and hire Mia immediately! She was BEYOND worth every penny!!”
Merry by Mia made our wedding seamless!
We hired a day-of coordinator because although we wanted to own the process of planning the wedding, we did not want to be point persons for vendor questions, logistics, and issues on the day of the wedding. We chose Merry By Mia because we instantly felt like we were in good hands, were reassured by the fact that Mia herself had recently gotten married and knew firsthand what kind of stressors and wrinkles go into a wedding day, and because we were impressed with her podcast. We benefited greatly from working with Merry by Mia! We had a sounding board for questions throughout the planning process, making big undertakings (like finding and booking transportation for 120 people!) much much simpler. And of course, on the day of, we would not have rested nearly as easy if we hadn't known that Mia was there to represent our best interests when we couldn't be there ourselves. We also heavily relied on Mia to understand what we wanted/what was important to us and translate that to our other vendors, especially when we felt we weren't being listened to. This was invaluable to us. Overall, we were incredibly satisfied! From big planning moments down to helping me into my reception dress, the day would not have gone nearly as smoothly without Mia. I would absolutely recommend working with Merry because from my experience, Mia was reliable, understanding, and excited! It means a lot when vendors who live and breathe weddings still have the ability to get as excited over the details as you do. I would say to absolutely prioritize this expense in your budget. For me, I know that if I had allocated that money to any other line item I wouldn't have been able to fully enjoy it because I would be dealing with so much unnecessary stress and wrangling without a point person. Mia went above and beyond, listening to the long list of very particular requests we had and made sure everything was perfect. We're so thankful to her! “
The best coordinating team in the Hudson Valley
Our wedding was over a year ago and still to this day not a day goes by without thinking about our wedding, how perfect it was and how amazing our vendor team was to work with. Merry by Mia was one of the first vendors for us to book, we had interviewed with a few others in the process but I knew after our first call she was the coordinator for us. We had the great pleasure of working with Mia herself but I can attest that any one on her team you would be lucky to work with. She had such a warm presence over the phone, immediately felt like I was talking to an old friend. You could tell that even before booking she cared about us and our special day. Her heart is truly in what she does. Aside from being our day of coordinator, from day 1 of booking we would had access to her for unlimited phone calls, emails or texts to assist in the planning of our day. I bounced so many ideas off of her during the planning process. Her instant and thorough replies never made it feel that I was a nuisance during the process. Ahead of our first scheduled call Mia sent us documents, example timelines and seating charts to help us navigate the planning process. And with that our calls leading up to the big day were smooth and seamless, felt she had such a good grasp of our vision and how things should flow, her attention to detail is insane and her organization is next level. Her smile and personality is infectious over zoom, and we truly could not wait to share our day with her. Leading up to our day I had no concerns Mia wasn’t going to be completely on top of it. So many guests commented on how calm I seemed weeks before and day of, and I have to say I owe this all to Mia. When I met Mia on the day of, it felt like again I had known her forever. Her set up and design was exactly how we imagined it to be. While we were getting ready she was exactly where we needed her when we needed her, not even asked she would show up at all the right times and jump in to help. The next day we found all our personal belongings organized back in their boxes and ready to go. If in question weather or not you need a coordinator, you do! My goal was to make sure every guests was really just there to celebrate us. I didn’t want to give tasks to anyone, especially day of. Just let someone else do it! She took the time to get to know us, sent pics and comments back and forth to make sure she knew EXACTLY how we wanted things. And coming from a very type A/planner individual myself, our ideas never clashed, she only amplified and brought to life our day. She was an absolute joy to work with and as she commented after our wedding, we are now bonded for life. This was not goodbye, we really do plan to see you later Mia.
