My name is Chelsea (she/her), and I am a Certified Wedding Planner. With more than 12 years of event planning experience, my goal is to allow you to simply celebrate. Home Town Events was created with the down-to-earth, laid-back, hardworking couples looking to do a bit of DIY in mind.

I pride myself in hard work, honesty, organization, and communication. I work diligently with your team of vendors to ensure you get to take in all the small things, and dance your heart out. I create spreadsheets for fun, and I love lists. If any of this speaks to you, we will get along great :)

Description

Example services include: grocery/catering pickup, decor pickup and setup, picking up or returning tuxes, picking up invitations from printer, delivering guest welcome bags to hotel, etc. I also do set-up/clean up services, or hourly consultations to keep your planning moving along. Generally starting around $400, we charge $75/hour.

Wedding management begins 8 weeks ahead your wedding date and includes the following services: 2 hours of rehearsal and 10 hours of day-of assistance; Unlimited consultation via email/text at time of hire; Set-up of decor not handled by a specific vendor (note that clean-up services may be accommodated at an additional hourly cost); Coordination of vendors and timeline creation; Attendance at final walkthrough of venue

    Chelsea was essential in bringing our vision for our intimate wedding to life. She was on top of all the little things we didn’t even think of, and was always making sure our guest and we were happy and enjoying our night! We could not have done it without her!!!

    If you are planning a wedding in Upstate NY, I HIGHLY encourage you to hire Chelsea of Home Town Events. We all hear the stories of how stressful wedding planning can be, especially when you try to tackle it on your own, but with Chelsea by our side we can honestly say our entire wedding planning process went smoothly and was actually fun! Chelsea's experience, can-do attitude, creativity and organization skills were fundamental in planning the wedding of our dreams. From crafting a tailored timeline, coordinating directly with our vendors, running our rehearsal, decorating the reception to meet our vision, and caring for all of the other small details that come together to make the day whole - Chelsea is the best person for the job. We would have been lost without her both on the wedding day and in the months leading up to the wedding. Chelsea is incredible, not just in her talents but also in her character. In addition to the planning, coordinating, and decorating, Chelsea also checked in with my husband and I throughout the day - offering advice when needed, a joke when the humidity was starting to get to us, and even helped to clean my dress when wine was spilled. There is no one better to have in your corner on the day of your wedding - she'll have your back no matter what! After our wedding, my husband and I reflected on our wedding and the entire process. We both agreed that hiring Chelsea was the best decision we made. We are forever grateful, so thank you Chelsea!

    As a fellow vendor, I have worked with many wedding planners and coordinators and Chelsea is definitely at the top of my list to work with. Chelsea was very organized and values communication just as much as I do! I think it's so important to work with a vendor who will get your vendors in line and prepared for your wedding day and Chelsea does just that. I saw it first hand and I would highly her if you want a friendly, outgoing and organized planner who will get what needs to get done in an efficient way and ON TIME for your wedding day. I hope to work with Chelsea again in the near future!

    Chelsea of Home Town Events was a pleasure to work alongside with! She was incredibly organized, professional, and communicative leading up to the wedding. Even when we were thrown some major weather curveballs on the day of the wedding, she handled it so gracefully and confidently. I would highly recommend her to any couple looking for a wedding planner or wedding management!
