Hello there, lovely! My name is Yana, I am a European living in Michigan, crazy in love with the California coastline and zinfandels, ambient music and a good hearty pho. I am also a documentary photographer specializing in boutique weddings & adventure elopements available to travel worldwide. Before finding my niche in wedding photography, I studied extensively in the classical street photography style, which provides the foundation of my approach: capturing "the moment" and telling visual stories. Our engagement and wedding photos turned out better than we ever could have imagined. Yana is such a pure and genuine soul and she is extremely pleasant to work with. She was so kind and patient with us during our pandemic change of plans and she ended up flying across the country to shoot our microwedding. She and her partner, were two steps ahead of us at every turn on our wedding night, capturing the most important moments. 11/10 would recommend her for any event.

I book weddings up to 2 years in advance, most typically 10 - 12 months before the wedding date, and adventure sessions based on availability around my wedding and travel schedules. I am flexible and happy to accommodate last minute arrangements if I am available.

Having photographed over 200 weddings in the past 7 years, I am comfortable shooting weddings by myself, but I offer packages with the option to add a 2nd photographer. We can discuss details at your consultation.

I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.

Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.

My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 4-6 weeks after your wedding. Within this time, you can also expect to receive a private gallery with high-resolution image files, so you can share the photos with your loved ones and order prints.

The number of photos delivered can vary based on your timeline, number of locations, hours of coverage, etc., so there isn't a set amount of images I deliver at each wedding. Typically it is around 80 photos per hour booked. At your wedding, I will most likely shoot a couple thousand photos and then hand pick the very best for editing.
