Q: How far in advance should we book you for our wedding?

Typically, couples book me about 13 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.

Q: Do you work with assistants or other photographers?

Sometimes, I’ll bring 2nd shooter depending on the size of your wedding and collection choice.

Q: Will you edit all our pictures?

Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.

Q: How long will it take to see our pictures?

My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 8-12 weeks after your wedding. Within this time, you can also expect to receive a online gallery with download accessibility and print rights.

Q: How many pictures will we get?

You can expect about 50 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.

Q: Do you have insurance?

I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.

Q: What’s your back-up plan if you can’t photograph our wedding as planned?

In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.

Q: Do you travel?

I love exploring new places! If a destination wedding or elopement sound more like you, contact me for custom quotes.

Q: Can you recommend a location for our engagement session?

I have a list of locations I will send you when you’re ready to book.

I’m a Sunshine State native, a Pisces, and a lover of the outdoors. Photography is my favorite way to connect with people. The ability to freeze a memory to look back on for years at a time is what kept me wanting more. I am forever in awe that taking photos allows me to create art, while also giving people stories to reflect on down the line.

My goal throughout this whole process is to make you feel comfortable, celebrated, and equipped going into your wedding day or session! A weird situation all around

Sufia’s circle left a rude comment on my Instagram… She also unfollowed, then blocked me, said we were being untruthful, posted on her story for her clients to “drown our review with positivity”. Do your research before you hire her for a welcome dinner, otherwise your experience might end up like ours.. Taking a step back because of the comment on my profile. Our 2 hour welcome dinner was edited in 3 hours, delivered 175 - her typical workflow. We got unbiased opinions on the gallery. In a thread (We took extra measures, obviously this affected us a lot) some people thought we were crazy and that the gallery looked amazing! But there were also people that disagreed and empathized with us. So it’s really personal preference - what you’re used to, age, background, experience with other photographers, etc. I will say that if the gallery was definitely good, we would’ve gotten 100% disagreement, and would’ve apologized. But theres clearly an issue. There were so many details that were overlooked during and post production - angles, underexposed when we asked for flash, rule of thirds. Our edits as clients would’ve required us to sit down and sift through, which is why we paid a professional that we hoped had a keen eye for these things.. Otherwise we would’ve asked uncle John to take photos. We do have a few great photos in the gallery, but we question too many for someone with 10 years of experience. Sufia obviously has her routine down for weddings. I'll conclude and say that it was our fault for having too high of expectations and hiring her too quickly, but for the rate, we held the same standard as our other documentary/posed photo galleries…

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences. I offered to re-edit your gallery, including adjustments to exposure, cropping for better composition, and other tweaks to address your concerns. However, it became clear that a refund was the only resolution you would accept. Photography is deeply subjective, and I understand that preferences can vary. We absolutely love Sufia! Not only are her work and editing skills 100/10, she made our wedding photos feel great and fun to take. We both felt like we were just hanging out and enjoying each others company during shoot time. Just from the sneak peeks, we love how the photos turned out!

I cannot thank Sufia enough, for the beautiful photos that I will cherish for a lifetime. I was so nervous to take photos, as I hate having my photo taken at all, that I delayed it for so long. Now, I wish I hadn’t! I’m just seriously blown away, Sufia made me feel like a model! And she was able to capture the love we have for one another in every photo. Not only is she obviously gifted with a talent to really capture people at their most beautiful, but she is such a wonderful person to I have to say I can’t recommend Sufia Huq Portraits highly enough. She has photographed so many important milestones for my family but she truly rose above and beyond all of my expectations as a wedding photographer. I initially hired Sufia for my engagement photos but after seeing how perfect they turned out, I knew she was the only person I could trust with my wedding! On the day of my wedding it truly felt like everything was going wrong. It was raining. I got second degree burns on my chest from a steamer. I had vendors threatening to leave and the catering company stealing my food. The ONE thing that eased the stress of that day was my incredible photographer. Despite how stressed I was, Sufia managed to bring me back into the moment and to capture timeless portraits of my wedding day with my husband, closest friends, and family. When I look back through the photos of my wedding day (which I do often because I’m obsessed), I don’t think about all of the craziness. I think about those precious moments Sufia captured for me. Sufia was more than just a photographer that day. She was a cheerleader. She was a hype woman. She was a friend. She was more than just accommodating. She was flexible. She was dependable. She was KIND. Sufia is an amazing human being with an amazing talent. A wedding day is a huge deal. Sufia Huq Portraits will not disappoint in quality or in kindness.

We found Sufia through a recommendation from another Central Florida photographer, and we're so glad that we crossed paths with her! We booked her for our small wedding in March of 2021, and shortly after that booking we had engagement photos done. She had perfect recommendations for locations that would fit us, and was also so sweet and patient with our pup that we brought along for the morning too. Even in the super humid Florida weather, we had a great time doing our session and we loved the pictures- They're hanging in our house now! Once our wedding rolled around, Sufia and her partner for the day were lovely to work with- My husband and I are both pretty introverted, but they made the environment relaxing and fun. Sufia found ways to inject little pieces of our life into the final photos, which is so special to get to look back on- Even managing to get in some fun pictures with our very young nieces and nephews, which is no small feat with so many personalities in play. I loved our experiences so much, and actually booked her again just this month for some couple photos to commemorate a personal event. Of course the logistical things are important- she's prompt, professional, and the quality of her work is wonderful- but on top of that, she's simply a great individual with a warm, kind energy, and a genuine desire to gift others with memories of their most special days. If you have the opportunity to work with her, do it!
