Technically, my job title is “wedding photographer/editorial photographer/commercial photographer/director/author/live comedy and scripted TV producer,” but that doesn’t exactly fit on a business card. It may be a mouthful, but I’m damn proud of my multihyphenate life; it’s exactly what makes me such a skilled photographer. Each role continues to push me — in lighting, posing, client relations, creative concepts, leading a team, managing the complexity of live events, and more — and benefits my approach to wedding photography.

    I cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed the experience of having Mandee Johnson as my photographer and how she brilliantly captured our wedding! She was great when working alongside our planners and scheduling out what needed to happen and when, she worked with any changes we had, and made sure we as a couple were taken care of and happy throughout our big day. On top of that, she captured the most magical images a gal could ever ask for. She is organized, doesn't miss a moment, and is simultaneously an incredible human that helps make sure it all goes smoothly. Her combination of documentary and editorial is just our taste and felt super organic, authentic and artful. She had scouted all these killer spots for our breathtaking portraits beforehand (had it all mapped out) , she dealt with the toasty Palm Springs heat with a smile and was just bopping around the reception all night capturing every perfect moment and meshing with all of our guests so seamlessly. I cannot recommend her enough!! Worth every single penny and more.

    I hired Mandee after seeing her work and falling in love with her way of beautifully capturing emotions, places and events from creative and intimate perspectives. She was a calming presence throughout the day, assuring a nervous me that I was killing it, while simultaneously taking truly stunning photos. Everything was run on time, she took all pictures on all families' lists, and there was no drama. Finally, the pictures were just gorgeous. 5 stars! Book her if you can!
