Leah Margulies is a DC and Nashville wedding photographer who travels to bring her craft to couples around the country. Her images encapsulate joy, romance and the pulse of the party. Leah Margulies Photography focuses on capturing images for couples who live freely and fully on their wedding day and always want to remember feeling that way.

With a background in photojournalism, I bring a blend of artistry and documentation to every event. I incorporate both film and digital photography to capture the movement, emotion, and celebration of every wedding day. As your photographer, my goal is: + to preserve the moments that fade too quickly + to tell your story as it is: genuine and entirely your own + to capture just how stunning and beautiful you are

    We booked Leah for my daughters wedding last August 2024, and it was quite simply the best vendor booking of the wedding. From the moment we reached out to Leah (after seeing her work on social media) she immediately responded, and was nothing short of lovely, and professional and put my daughter and her fiancé at ease and they knew they had to have her photograph their wedding. The Zoom call they had with her sealed the deal that she was definitely the one. She explained her process, and no question ever went unanswered, thoroughly and quickly! She provided fantastic recommendations for other needed vendors, including our wonderful officiant. If you fit and vibe with Leah, trust that her circle she recommends will be the same. Her kind nature and gentle spirit puts you at ease and makes shooting beautiful photographs effortless. We were very happy with the preview gallery we received shortly after the wedding and even more thrilled to see the full gallery afterwards.     We had an excellent experience with Leah as our wedding photographer last year. From the first chat, her relaxed attitude put me at ease. She was responsive, thoughtful, and communicative despite my arranging our calls from overseas dealing with different time zones. Her style was a great fit for me and my husband (who hates staged photos!). She was professional throughout and flexible with last-minute changes (suggesting a great alternative to the DC monuments that fit our post-ceremony schedule perfectly and photographed beautifully on a cloudy day). Her eye for photography is obvious and she executed like the seasoned professional she is on the day. Our guests kept gushing about how seamlessly she moved through the crowd, ensuring we got the shots we wanted and some priceless candids. I especially adore her black and white photos. Her website has been easy to use to scroll through our gallery, order prints, etc. Could not recommend highly enough for those looking for a Washington DC area wedding photographer.

    We could not have been happier with Leah as our photographer for our September 2024 wedding. Leah kept us and our wedding party at ease during photos, captured numerous candid moments and was able to get all of our requested photos. She was very timely with sharing photos after the wedding and there were soooo many photos. We had so many people reach out to us after seeing the photos letting us know they were the best photos they had ever seen for a wedding. If you are considering Leah for your wedding we highly recommend her!
