  • Aleks Fisher Stole from Us and Many Other Couples

    Aleks Fisher is a liar and cheat. We had a terrible experience with him regarding our wedding photos and videos. Despite being patient, his constant delays and his refusal to provide the raw files were extremely frustrating. After speaking with other clients, we discovered he told us all different things. Even worse, we learned from his own photographers that the delays were due to outstanding debts Aleks owes them since November 2023. This debt has led to our raw files—and those of many other clients— being held hostage for over half a year. We were eventually forced to purchase the raw unfinished files directly from his photographers, despite having already paid Aleks 5,000. Aleks willingness to deceive and steal from clients and contractors makes him utterly untrustworthy. Whether you're a client or a employee - wholeheartedly, I strongly urge everyone to avoid Aleks Fisher. Footnote: I've discovered that the Aleks has moved to Texas and started another photography business. If there are other affected clients, please email [email protected]. I am organizing a civil lawsuit and have an interested lawyer involved.

    We hired Lana & Aleks over a year ago and paid our half down deposit. We didn't reach back out to them until about 6 weeks before the wedding. They sent over a general day of timeline, which needed a lot of changes, and a request for final payment. I sent final payment (stupid), and followed up with multiple emails asking for changes, updates, questions about photos, etc. They absolutely ghosted me. Zero communication after we paid in full. Five days before our wedding, we did a search online and saw Google reported them permanently closed, Yelp said they're out of business, and online forums had clients reporting not receiving photos. We realized then that they had taken our money and ran, so we had to hire another photographer the week of the wedding. After that L&A responded and said they would be there, I'm sure just to cover their butt legally. They did not show up. I'm so thankful we had hired someone else. I'm still trying to recover our money, but they have declared bankruptcy, so I realize it's unlikely. Just a heads up to STAY AWAY.

    In the world of weddings there can be "adventures" we just can't plan for. It is at that time when you need your team especially your photographer to be calm, cool & solution minded. As our timeline is our lifeline, being willing to to be flexible is key too. Aleks and his team were both photo and video and yes they had their hands full from start to finish:)) By keeping their eyes on the goal, amazing documentation of the special day, my couple now has the perfect memory of their wedding and so much more:))
