James DeSalvo Photography

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York...in a large and value-minded neighborhood, where the sense of community was part of everyday life. Surrounded by lessons of resilience, passion and kindness, and armed with a young man's exuberance for adventure, I traveled around the East Coast with a backpack in tow. Being pragmatic by nature, I found work as a line cook, sous chef and butcher...a far cry from the creative field I would eventually find a home.

The post college employment path guided me to the graphic arts industry and the opportunity to work in the printing, publishing and advertising arenas. Immersed in the highly technical and professional positions of operational marketing production for over 25 years, I found my passion being served by my camera and photo editing. In 2010, my professional bones in the art of photography started with travel, event and portrait assignments.......... My personal focus with photography also affords me related pursuits in order to give back to various medical research and awareness efforts on a local scale with international organizations.
