Recognized as the Best Chef in Columbia County for 2015 and 2016, as well as the recipient of the Fourth Annual Victoria A. Simons Locavore Award in 2013, Chef Josephine Proul embarked on her journey with Local 111 in 2008. Freshly graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts from the New England Culinary Institute, she returned to Philmont, NY, becoming Local's Chef and General Manager. In 2014, when the previous owners passed the torch, Josephine eagerly embraced the challenge of ownership with open arms. "It's a destination for Philmont."

Chef Jo and the Local 111 crew bring a personal touch to every dish. The communication with Local 111 was impeccable - everything was clear and uniform throughout the entire process. The Local 111 staff put their all into the quality of the work they delivered, and it truly showed. From the starters to the buffet style dinner, Local 111 certainly delivered, with the presentation and flavors of each dish having our guests raving about how wonderful everything was. I would highly recommend using Local 111 for any event - not only do you get high-quality, farm-to-table food, but the staff are just as amazing to work with as well.
