Custom buttercream cakes crafted with passion and different designing techniques, creates your editable work of art! Pallet knife, texturing and buttercream flowers are a few of the methods we use. Fresh, local ingredients whenever possible. We want you to have your cake and eat it too! We deliver up to 50 miles from the Charleston area. We are a bootstrap, female-owned, small business.

It's what's on the inside that counts! I am a Charleston SC native. Graduating culinary & pastry arts in New Orleans, I worked at Commander's Palace, & the Royal Sonesta on Bourbon Street. I finally landed my first head pastry chef position at Apolline, also in New Orleans. When I moved back to Charleston, I started selling my pastries at a local farmers market. A customer asked me to design her wedding cake & that's when The Tenacious Tart was born! We continue to grow & stay current with cake designs & trends. But simple, elegance is always timeless. Our menu is tenacious & packed with unique flavors.

    Sharon at The Tenacious Tart made the most delicious cake for my wedding! We chose the traditional wedding cake flavor and the lavender blackberry. Sharon is super nice and easy to work with too. My husband used to not like cake much, but now he is obsessed with Sharon’s! Definitely recommend!
