Q: What do you wear?

For most weddings, I wear a suit & tie. I prefer to blend in and not stand out. The center of attention should always remain on the bride and groom.

Q: Do you take music requests?

Absolutely! Playing music your guests want to hear is the goal. I like to pride myself on my ability to ready a room and play great music, but nothing beats direct feedback from your guests.

Q: Do you provide music for wedding ceremonies or cocktail receptions?

I provide ceremony services and cocktail music for most all my weddings. Ceremony services consist of music of your choice as well as multiple microphone selections. Cocktail music provides atmosphere for your guest to really enjoy themselves during cocktail hour.

Q: Are you fully insured?

Insurance is a must for a professional DJ, plus most venue require it.

Q: What is your style?

My slogan is "Elegant Fun Weddings" and my style is considered low-key. Low-key slimply means, I do not spend all night talking over a microphone attempting to "hype" your guests up. I take a more classy approach by playing to right music. If you play the right music, people will respond by dancing and having a great time.

Q: How early do you come to set up?

I usually arrive approximately 3 hours before your ceremony begins.

Q: Do you provide other services, such as lighting or photo booths?

I provide uplighting as well as monogram lighting services.

Q: What is your travel and break down fee?

I do not charge a travel fee for weddings in central Virginia. There is never a fee for setup or break down time.

Q: Are we allowed choose music or assist in the selection of music for our reception?

The simple answer is YES. The longer answer is: Each of my clients have their own portal on my website with unique planning tools to assist in the planning process. The portal also allows you to select specific songs for special moments as well as more general music selection for Cocktail Hour, Dinner, and Dance Time.

For over seventeen years my business has focused on weddings. It is my goal to create the atmosphere you have envisioned and help make your ceremony and reception flow smoothly. My style is low key and can be summed up in a few words as, "Elegant Fun". The day should be approached with elegance and poise, but at the same time remembering it is also a celebration. After all, that’s why you have invited your friends and family to your wedding. I love what I do. I love music, and I love weddings. I take great pride in what I do but my goal is not only to play music; it is to ensure that every wedding I do is better than the one before.

My professionalism, attention to detail, and personal touch. I approach every wedding with a clean slate. Each wedding is special and unique. I take the input I receive from each couple, combine it with my knowledge of music, and create a memorable playlist that is sure to keep the dance floor busy.

For our wedding at Keswick Vineyards, we were given a list of prospective DJs to choose from. After inquiring about their recommendation for a DJ that knew how to throw an amazing dance party, we were given TD’s information. From the detailed pre-wedding questionnaire and phone conversations to the day of our wedding, T.D. was very professional, knowledgeable, and a lot of fun. We also used T.D. for our ceremony amplification. We are happy to report that we did not have any microphone malfunctions! Most importantly, the reception was truly a party from the time we were introduced until the time we made our escape. From the lighted monogram initials, choreographed dances, and a variety of music, he made sure we had everything we asked for. T.D. kept us to our timeline and kept the guests aware of the happenings around the venue. We are so thankful to have had him as our D.J., as many memories were made on the dance floor that night. 5 stars from us!

TD was amazing, professional yet laid back. He was recommended to us by our caterer, and after speaking with him on the phone, he was hired! He walked us though everything, and had a detailed form to fill out and get back to him about what kind of music we wanted or didn't want, when we wanted it played, and timeline for the event. We spoke on the phone about a week before the wedding to go over the paper, and he was so knowledgeable and easy to talk to. The day of the wedding, our timeline got moved around due to the health of a family member, and TD barely blinked an eye. He moved songs around for us easily, took examples of songs we had given him and expanded on them, and had everyone out on the dance floor after dinner. I would highly recommend TD and Sound Enforcement to anyone looking for a competent, professional and fun DJ.
