Patrick Ross

Patrick Ross is a Vermont, VT-based professional who is first and foremost a musician. He has worked over 500 weddings over 20 years. He is a professional violin, fiddle, mandolin, banjo, cello, viola, ukulele and guitar player as well as a vocalist. Ross understands that every celebration is unique and works with couples to suit the atmosphere of the occasion. If there is a specific song in mind, he will gladly and easily learn it. He dedicates himself to delivering the highest level services for couples on their special day. Look for his referrals and reviews! They speak volumes! Book soon because he's always busy during wedding season.

One stop shopping! Patrick provides live music and or DJ services for the whole day. He is a top flight violinist for the ceremony. He plays various acoustic instruments for social hour. He can either perform as a strolling violinist for dinner or transition to DJ and MC for the remainder of the evening. He can also provide his dance band at a premium rate to create a hybrid DJ/dance band. It is the best of both worlds as most couples find it a challenge to decide between a DJ or a live band. They are both!

    Patrick was communicative and easy to work with leading up to the wedding. On the day of, he arrived on time and prepared. He played fiddle while everyone entered for the ceremony and played songs we requested as we walked down the aisle. He set the tone for cocktail hour, playing various stringed instruments. I was uncertain of what song to use to dance with my father. Patrick offered to play one that he had written for his daughter. It was beautiful and perfect. He was able to read the room well and helped to keep the evening moving forward in a way that felt very natural. He is worth investing in for all of the reasons mentioned above, but then comes the magic of the dance floor. Patrick DJ's. He worked with us ahead of time to create a playlist for the night. Every once in a while, at the perfect moment, he picks up his fiddle and plays along with the song. It is so cool, and so fun. The owner of the venue said she poked her head out of the kitchen because she couldn't figure out what was going on, the music was beautiful and the crowd was having so much fun. Our whole wedding is such an incredible memory, but Patrick's fiddle dance floor DJ party really took the prize.  Patrick was hardworking, kind, and professional. He truly added so much to our wedding. We are very thankful for him!

    Some time has passed between your wedding and when you took the time to write such a thoughtful review. I had to go back and look up the wedding (last name changed) and when I did it all came back to me clear as a bell. Your wedding will always be easy to remember. The pier, the weather, the ocean breeze, the well dressed and kind guests, the food, the ambiance, and more! A trip to coast of Maine for a native Vermonter is good for the soul.     Patrick played violin at our ceremony, then picked up guitars, fiddles, and more- he and his band took over songs so we got the perfect mix of DJing and live music! The band was lively, fun, played exactly what we requested and threw in special performances like a saxophone takeover and an instrumental version of a song we love! 10/10 would highly recommend Patrick for any event!

His communication style was very clear and thoughtful, as they truly took the time to understand our vision and preferences. The quality of their work was top-tier and the live music he provided was beautiful, professional, and caring. Patrick learned our wedding song and performed it exceptionally, blending seamlessly into the background of our ceremony and reception. He played multiple instruments beautifully and was so kind and thoughtful, going with the flow even when our wedding was not as organized as a usual wedding. Having Patrick there truly made our wedding day one to remember, and we feel so lucky to have had him be a part of our special day.     I'll never forget chasing the bride and groom down a hill (mountain) after the ceremony with Patrick Ross following suit all while playing his fiddle. The pictures that I got of the couple with a fiddler in the middle of a field are EPIC and I so appreciated his commitment. Highly recommend hiring him for your occasion!
