Originally a house party/lounge/club DJ, I perform at select weddings in New England, Connecticut, and beyond. My emceeing style is pretty low-key and I typically like to let the music do the talking.

I enjoy crafting dynamic set lists that reflect the personalities of the couple, their guests, and the vibe they wish to achieve. I love mixing music from a wide variety of genres and decades, making sure they flow smoothly and creatively.

    Mickey was a genuine joy to work with. He reached out to us for an initial check-in sooner than we thought was necessary and as soon as we got off that call we knew we'd hired the right guy. He heard all our requests, hopes, and anxieties, and he expertly worked with the playlists we gave him. There was not a single song out of place and the songs he brought in that weren't on our lists were perfect. He even scratched out a certain criminal's name from Kesha's song Tik ToK, which was exactly the right move for our crowd. Our guests are still talking about how great he was! Mickey also happened to be already familiar with our venue which took so much stress and additional communication off our plate. He crushed every possible aspect of his work and we're so grateful to have worked with him. We'd recommend him without reservation to anyone who asked.

    Mickey Grouse was an amazing DJ for our wedding. From the very first interaction, he was easy to communicate with, accommodating to our needs, and open to our ideas. Mickey’s demeanor and execution on the day of the wedding was genuinely impressive - he didn't interject himself at all and made it clear the day was for us and about us. Mickey was punctual, easy going, and absolutely crushed it. He kept our guests entertained and engaged all night long. The value he provided was incredible, and we couldn't have asked for a more flexible and genuine vendor to work with. Highly recommend Mickey Grouse for any wedding!

    Mickey DJ’d our wedding on 3/11/23 at Hamilton Hall in Salem, MA, and every step of working with him was great! We met a few times over zoom before the wedding to go over questions and talk about our music vibe and vision for the night. Mickey was incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and communicative, both in those meetings and email exchanges leading up to the big day. During every phase of the wedding, Mickey found a way to blend a variety of genres that really worked at each point, and had the dance floor moving all night. We requested some songs you might not always hear at a wedding, and he pulled it off and the crowd loved it! We had rave reviews from many of our guests, and I only wish we could have had more time on the dance floor. I’d recommend Mickey to anyone!

    I can’t say enough great things about Mickey! His music helped make our wedding night a dream. He is organized, extremely communicative, and thoughtful when it comes to the sentiment of music. Our personality and love of dancing and music shined through during our wedding and reception all thanks to Mickey. We can’t thank him enough for making our night so special!! The way he put together the music was absolutely fabulous. Everyone had so much fun and the dance floor was packed all night. I highly recommend him and would definitely use him again for any future events I plan.
