Q: How early do you come to set up?

2.5 to 3 hours before pre-ceremony start time

Q: Do you provide music for wedding ceremonies or cocktail receptions?

If you already have finished playlists for the ceremony, cocktail, and dinner you can send them to me for me to use. Other options are: 1). We make each playlist collaborative and we work together to both add songs to the playlists. 2). You tell me the vibe you want, artists, and genres and I do the work for you in creating the playlists.

Q: Do you take music requests?

I do but with respect to you, the couple's, music preferences that we will have discussed in our planning meeting. Also, even if it's a request that matches your music preferences, I'm mindful of playing it when the time is right. This is to ensure the energy on the dance floor flows smoothly throughout the night.

Q: Are you fully insured?

Yes. I have a $1 Million General Liability Insurance

Q: What is your style?

As far as music preferences, my 3 favorite genres to spin are hip-hop, funk/disco, and house. However, I have an eclectic taste in music and love other genres such as R&B, pop, afro, latin, and yacht rock. When it comes to MCing- I'm very personable and speak on the mic with the intention of making people feel comfortable and directing the energy of the event. I accomplish this simply by making myself noticeable when I speak (step out to the dance floor if the opportunity presents itslef), speaking clearly into the mic, and repeating my directives to drive home the message.

Dj Hugo Trax was highly recommended to me by our wedding venue owner. Right away he was energetic, fun, quick to reply and answer any questions even knowing that our wedding was over a year out. He made the process so simple which took a large chunk of stress off us, even scheduling a final meeting virtually since we were in another state. The use of google docs to keep all of our wants and needs organized was perfect. On our big day he was there early to set up and was already making everyone laugh and smile. Unfortunately for us we had a major wind storm and had to switch everything from outside to inside. He got everything situated so quickly and had everyone back up moving and having fun in no time. He stayed calm and cool which kept everyone calm and working together to get everything moved. Throughout the night he played everything we asked for and even let me play around with his equipment which was a highlight of my night! I would recommend him over and over for anyone wanting the ultimate smooth and fun wedding celebration and party!
