Q: What makes you different from other musicians?

What sets me apart from others is my ability be able to mix live, and work with all genres of music from all cultural backgrounds & ethnicities, as well as offer custom mixes made from scratch, for your special dance performances or first dance entrance songs.

Q: Do you take music requests?

Yes, of course! I don’t mind song-requests throughout the night to make sure everyone is happy, and try my best to play those during the live-mixing sessions.

Q: What do you wear?

Once I’m done with the setup & sound-check, I will change & dress-up professionally; either a suit & tie, or jeans with a dress-shirt and a coat & tie.

Q: Do you provide music for wedding ceremonies or cocktail receptions?

Yes, I will make a customized continuous mix of cocktail hour music to be played in the background for a fee. I can put this together with your favorite style of music. This includes all of my time spent in advance creating a custom/continuous mix of YOUR favorite style of music in a nice continuous flow to be played through a separate speaker setup during this time.

Q: Can you provide speciality, religious, or ethnic musicians?

Yes, I specialize in doing SouthAsian/Fusion Weddings. I have experience in working with all styles of musical genres such as, Bollywood, Bhangra, Arabic, and mixtures of various other musical styles including top40 & mainstream.

Q: What is your style?

I keep the announcements & intros short, sweet, simple, respectful, and professional. I get on the mic to hype up the crowd during open-dance-floor also, but I mostly let my live-mixing do the talking because I feel that most guests just wanna dance to a great continuous flow of good music; they don’t really wanna hear me speak over the mic a lot…haha.

Q: How early do you come to set up?

At least 2 to 3hrs in advance... it just depends on how far and how complex the event is going to be.

An incredible DJ for a memorable Sangeet

I was so thrilled to have found DJ Kash to help make our Sangeet a memorable experience for everyone! I found him through instagram, as one of the premier South Asian DJ's in the triangle area, and after listening to his sets, I knew he would be the perfect fit for our event. We reached out, and within a few weeks, we had a signed contract, he had added at my request, a Dholi and I felt that he would deliver even though we'd booked him over a year in advance. Kashif is professional, fun, and can read a crowd and vibe incredibly well. He blended western music with Bollywood hits and for our Sangeet he played a live, mixed set which was DOPE. Everyone loved the music and would not get off the dance floor. Additionally, he was incredibly flexible- I had literally no direction for him (mostly because I trusted him) and he was able to accommodate last minute requests without complaints. And thank you Kashif, for encouraging me to keep the Dholi, because between the two of you, the event was more memorable than I could have imagined. Kashif made the space beautiful with his uplighting, which was a welcome addition to his standard cost, and set up and tore down with no issue in a very busy downtown Raleigh venue. I would 100% use him again if I ever needed to. The music was phenomenal, bangers all night- and the talent was immense and clear. Thank you so much for making my wedding weekend so memorable!
Unprofessional - Double booked last minute

DJ Kash was initially easy to work and communicate with and our wedding was mostly a success. However, on the day of our Sangeet he informed our wedding planner that he was double booked and would be sending a replacement DJ, whom we had never met or spoken to. This DJ played well but made a mistake during a performance and overplayed his time without permission and asked for additional compensation. All ensuing communication throughout the weekend was unprofessional and stressful as well as disconcerting. The following day during the reception DJ Kash was friendly but upon meeting the groom immediately spoke of money and finances. He sent text messages to both bride and groom multiple times throughout the wedding day regarding money, including immediately prior to the wedding ceremony, and lengthy messages immediately after the wedding weekend with insulting comments and an unwillingness to compromise. Overall, I would not recommend his team again to avoid the sheer added stress and poor communication on the weekend of the wedding.

DJ Kash did an awesome job of selecting and playing music for my daughter’s wedding that got everyone up on the dance floor. He is very professional and has an amazing flair for talking to the audience and building rapport with them. He was highly recommended by a friend and we are so glad we went with him.
