The DuPage County Historical Museum is housed in what was formerly known as the Adams Memorial Library. The building was erected by John Quincy Adams (a distant relative of the Adams presidents) in 1891 to serve as a library and community center for Wheaton in memory of his late wife, Marilla Phipps Adams. In 1967, the building opened as the DuPage County Historical Museum under the operation of the County of DuPage and DuPage County Historical Society. Today, the Museum is operated as a facility of the Wheaton Park District and owned by the County of DuPage. It is the only institution dedicated to the collection, preservation, interpretation, and exhibition of materials which document the history of DuPage County.

It is an ideal venue for your wedding day, offering three unique spaces to accommodate your wedding party and guests. Our experienced event staff will work with you to create a customized wedding reception menu to suit your needs. We can also create a wine and cocktail list tailored to the tastes of your guests. The spacious and versatile event space features beautiful lighting and a new audio/visual system for presentations during your wedding reception. Additionally, the downtown area offers ample parking and we are conveniently located near Geneva’s train station for easy Metra access.
