Two years ago, me and my now husband were looking at vendors and venus. We went to a bridal showcase and we fell in love with everything about this place. All of our vendors were there for us to pick out. Jerry Was there and from that moment I'm the communication never stopped. We had to change our date a couple of times and he accommodated. when I said wanted to come to pick out stuff and the sign paperwork. But we need to bring our son Jerry said bring him along, even let him sign the papers. Even until moments before me walking down the aisle. I knew that everything at the venue would be OK because he communicated with us. Even 2 days before are wedding. It was perfect and it was. More than what we had expected, the staff ,bartender ,the DJ and the Baker was so nice and so sweet. Our family and friends still to this day. Talk about how amazing are wedding was and the food and the music and the desserts. Thank you for making our feel magical

Starting from the first call we had with Amelia (Sales Manager in charge of their room blocks) last November while Jonathan (Wedding-Catering Sales Manager) was out of the office, we knew The Abbey was going to be an amazing venue to work with. Her vibrant personality could be felt over the phone, and made me feel like we’d known her for years. This rang true through every single phone call and email we had during our wedding planning, all the way through being onsite for our wedding week. Amelia is friendly, approachable, a great listener, accommodating, timely, and hospitable to name just a few. We genuinely felt like she cared about the success of our wedding, and the experience that our guests were going to have. She went as far as working with the reservations team to ensure we got a suite that was previously reserved when it opened up, customizing our wedding block to fit our guests’ needs, helping ensure guest welcome bags were distributed, and welcoming us for our stay with a gift basket note. We truly believe we would have ended up having our wedding elsewhere if I hadn’t tracked her down last November. Similar to Amelia - from the first time we connected with Jonathan to start planning our wedding, we knew we had something unique in our venue team, and felt confident we’d be in great hands throughout the process. Jonathan always responded to our frequent emails in an extremely timely manner – often right away even when we told him to wait until business hours – and it often felt like he was one step ahead of us. He was extremely helpful with providing his industry expertise, guiding our decision making based on previous experience with weddings / large events, and felt confident that he ultimately had our best interests in mind. He helped us incorporate unique components / details to our wedding that our guests are still talking about, and gave us the sweetest welcome package in our suite! (And recommended we book a great secluded suite!) Jonathan somehow was able to accommodate all of our requests in some way or another, and always made us feel like he was so personally invested. We never could have imagined working with someone so responsive, flexible, detail-oriented, and somehow as passionate about our wedding as we were. His organizational and coordination skills shined exceptionally throughout the last 10 months – even the day after the wedding he was helping us move things out of the ballroom and transferring flowers to brunch. He was truly there every step of the way. We have not been able to stop raving about both Jonathan and Amelia to anyone who asks, and can confidently say we don’t have any negative feedback to share about our experience. Our guests have been the same way and have all been positively commenting on their whole experience. Any challenges that came up throughout our process were always met with solutions, a clear path forward, and their team going above and beyond. Jonathan and Amelia were even there to see us out the Monday after our wedding as we departed, and made not only us but also our parents feel like family. Truly everyone from check-in, Greg at valet, and restaurant spa staff, to the catering events teams and management being open to our ever changing requests ( and keeping up with our large group size) – everyone was so accommodating to work with. We cannot say more positive things about the staff, venue, and our experience!

Located on the property is a cozy house that has a bridal suite for getting ready. This 3 bedroom, 3 bath accommodation sleeps 10 and is perfect for the bride and her bridesmaids to stay overnight before the wedding. The venue is a luxurious and relaxing environment with several spaces for guests to explore. For us, Hotel Goodwin was truly a one-stop shop, as it's where we hosted our ceremony, reception (The Rooftop), and day-after brunch (Velvet Buffalo), and where we booked our room blocks. The staff was attentive and responsive throughout every element of planning and execution, and all we heard all weekend (and since!) from our guests is how much they loved the food and space, and how wonderful and accommodating the staff was at every turn. We have zero regrets about trusting the most important day of our lives to Hotel Goodwin, and would recommend it to anyone!

Multiple times during the night, the staff just appeared at my & my husband's sides to make sure we had everything we needed, whether it be appetizers, drinks, whatever we needed! Maria's attention to detail helped make my wedding the absolute perfect day! I used this venue as a caterer for my wedding in Burlington, WI. The food is PHENOMENAL. When we attended the tasting, I was blown away by how good everything was. My husband, who is a VERY picky eater, loved all the food we tried and said that the chicken alfredo was the best he'd ever eaten. The salad we chose (cranberry and goat cheese) was to die for. I would have just eaten that if I could have! Everyone we worked with was fantastic. Natalie was with me at the end of our journey, and she was so helpful and knowledgeable. When questions arose about certain things, she always found the answer for me and got back to me in a timely manner. I never had questions that went unanswered and she constantly kept me in the loop with billing, options, etc. The staff who served our food on the day of our wedding, including the woman who worked with myself and my husband (I can't remember her name), were amazing. They were so helpful, made sure we had food to go home with, and that everything was up to our expectations. The ONLY downfall was they took our food when we got pulled out to take pictures for sunset, but I put that blame more on our coordinator than on the staff working for Tuscan Hall. We were able to get food back at the table and to take back to the hotel with us. If you are looking for a caterer (or a venue as their venue is also very beautiful), I would DEFINITELY recommend you look into them. They are also very reasonably priced in an industry that seems to prey on people getting married to add more money to the bill. Everything was fully explained and for the quality and quantity of food served, it was exceptionally reasonable.

The house, known today as Reid Hall, was completed in 1908 and the family moved in on May 5, led by J. Ogden Armour, until approximately September of 1927. Many of the house’s mantle pieces, there are 15, and the paneling of the library reading room (or former living room), were imported from Paris, Vienna and London, including the marble dining room while the main walls are of Italian marble, the central panels of each wall have been painted over the plaster to simulate actual marble. It is also reputed that the marble staircase was built with the primary purpose in mind that their daughter, Lolita Ogden Armour, would descend the curving stairway on her wedding day, which she did in 1921, to John J. Mitchell, Jr. Eventually the property was sold to Lake Forest Academy where classes began in 1948. Today, Academy grounds total approximately 170 acres.

WOW best time ever! I am overjoyed to have married my husband at Astoria! They have the most amazing staff, it felt like they were part of the family & were wedding guests that we absolutely loved ! With everything going on with COVID-19, my fiance and I were super nervous about what would happen if we postponed our wedding or even if we had it with a smaller crowd. We had friends tell us that for their wedding at a different venue, they were still going to be charged the minimum amount even if there were only 50 people, I was so nervous about what was going to happen but then we got the call. Jennifer called us from Brides of Poplar Creek and assured us that they understood what was going on and that they would do whatever they could to accommodate us with what we decided to do. They allowed us to maintain our date for 2020 but then also offered to hold a date (at no cost) for 2021! My fiance and I hit the lotto with this place. Jennifer is up to date on the guidelines they are mandated to follow and continued to support us as we took our time deciding what we were going to do. We have finally decided to move our date and Jennifer drew up the new contract and got it to us in no time. Honestly, she made it so much easier for us to make this decision because it definitely was not easy. If you have not seen this venue in person, you need to go check it out. I am very picky and was looking for a place that did not have carpet. If you look at their old photos you see what the upstairs used to look like, it was beautiful but it had carpet. I was going to not even check out this venue but my mom saw that they updated their floors and now it is wood flooring. IT IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. Having both inside and outside ceremony options, you could not ask for a better place. I cannot wait to continue working with Jennifer and her crew as the countdown to our new wedding date continues. I will post a new review after our wedding happens next September. CHECK OUT BRIDGES OF POPLAR CREEK, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT

Had the 5 hour lunch wedding package on 5/20/23. It was fabulous. Lisa was the wedding coordinator and offered the Emerald Room with high ceilings. Very light and airy. She set up everything beautifully. Lots of food. Cake was beautiful and delicious. Everything was perfect. The only thing that could have changed was cleanup started 15 minutes before event ended which caused some guests to leave slightly early. But overall a 10 out of 10. You will not be disappointed by selecting Villa Olivia. Also beautiful outdoor pictures at this facility.

We highly recommend The Seville Chicagoland as a wedding venue. Desire was amazing to work with - she communicated promptly and professionally every step of the way. The space itself is elegant without the high price tag, giving great value. On our big day, The Seville really came through for us. When some out-of-town guests couldn't make the rehearsal, Desire allowed us to cancel without penalty. She also helped with DJ equipment rental when our original rental fell through. We couldn't have asked for a better venue or coordinator for our special day. The Seville handled all the little details and last minute changes beautifully. We're so grateful for the role they played in making our wedding day stress-free and magical.

Had my wedding 10/12/24 at Bartlett Hills Golf Club and it was an absolute dream! The venue itself is beautiful. They give you the option for either indoor or outdoor ceremony spaces overlooking their lake. Outdoor ceremony space is limited to about 150 people but it was perfect for our wedding of about 125. You get access to multiple golf carts to explore the golf course for photos. Taking bridal party photos with all the autumn trees in the background made for awesome shots! There is a locked bridal suite for the ladies to get ready in or store your things for the day. However, its not the most spacious, so might be best to get ready elsewhere for parties bigger than 4 or 5 people. The reception area is open and spacious, with two bars. And diverse! They can close off areas for smaller groups, they can move the dance floor to your liking. They give you the option to customize SO MUCH. Their pricing is amazing for how all inclusive their packages are. The premium package (im not sure the exact name) offers way more than any other venue I visited or researched. And was far more affordable. It included an hour of passed hors doeuvres, an absolutely delicious dinner, open bar, all your linens, fresh flower centerpieces, an arch for your ceremony, even the cost of your cake!!! We got so many compliments on how delicious the dinner and the cake was. But what really sells this venue is Evan, the event coordinator. He is really the mastermind behind making your dream wedding a reailty. Most people say not to bank on a venue coordinator being like a real day of coordinator, but let me tell you, in the case of Evan, he is that and so much more. He is there to help every step of the way, offering advice and insight because the man clearly knows what hes doing. Also, him and his staff set up and break down ALL of your decorations. He is so helpful, friendly, and honestly just a cool guy. He even gave us the OK for our officiant/friend to do the stone cold steve austin beer smash for their reception entrance (we changed those plans, but still). Overall, I have zero negative things to say about this venue. My wedding was 110% everything I dreamed, in large part to Evan and the staff at Bartlett Hills GC. I would recommend a million times over.

It was so nice that there were multiple rooms to step away from the dance floor and have a private conversation or out on the balcony and view the river and cool off. My wedding venue at Mission Hills Country Club was overall a wonderful experience. Communication was great with Anna, the venue manager. She was sweet, patient and responsive and helped out in every way possible. I would recommend asking lots of questions and cross checking details with Anna to avoid any surprises though. The venue itself is breathtaking, with beautiful outdoor spaces for ceremonies requiring very little extra decor. We used the outdoor area for our ceremony and it was simply gorgeous. The indoor spaces are also lovely formal event venues. Overall, Mission Hills Country Club is a beautiful wedding venue that I definitely recommend, especially if you work with Anna on the details. With good communication on both sides, your wedding there is sure to be a success.

We cannot say enough good things about our experience at The Westin Chicago Northwest! From the very beginning, we worked closely with Lori, who helped us plan the most perfect day from start to finish. Her attention to detail and support throughout the entire process made everything so easy and enjoyable. Our reception was held in their stunning lakeside pavilion, and it was everything we could have dreamed of. The venue itself was beautiful, offering the perfect atmosphere for our celebration. One of the best parts was how convenient it was for our guests, with the pavilion being connected to the hotel—it made the whole event so seamless for everyone. To top it all off, The Westin gave us a wonderful surprise gift the night of our wedding, which made us feel even more special and appreciated. It was such a thoughtful touch that added to the overall magic of the day. Overall, The Westin Chicago Northwest was the ideal wedding venue for us, and we are so grateful for Lori and the team for helping us make our day absolutely unforgettable!

Our coordinator, Gabi, was absolutely amazing throughout the entire year leading up to our big day. She was incredibly responsive, always available to answer any questions we had, and went above and beyond to accommodate all our needs. On the day of our wedding, Gabi and her team set up the hall exactly as we had envisioned, creating an atmosphere that was both elegant and magical. The food at Victoria in the Park was delicious, receiving compliments from many of our guests. The ambiance of the venue added a touch of elegance that truly made our day special. Eaglewood was a wonderful venue to host our wedding at! Everything was perfect from the look of the room to the kindness of the waitstaff. Throughout the entire wedding planning process, there was never bad experience. Communication was clear and we could not be more happy the day of having the most confidence that everything was handled. It was clear that everyone involved truly cared about making our night so special. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone considering! The convenience of the entire weekend was also huge weight lifted off of our shoulders when it came to planning. They were able to accommodate the rehearsal dinner, getting ready, ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Once our guests arrived for the weekend, they did not have to leave and I know everyone really appreciated that small detail.

I loved my wedding, it was everything I could've wanted out of the venue. I had My ceremony (outside) & reception (inside) and it was such a wonderful time! I did the family-style menu and all the food was delicious. The reception area in the all seasons room was beautiful with the light globe. The bartenders and servers were very attentive and polite. All of our guests loved the food, the chocolate fountain, and of course the late-night bowling!! The communication with the venue was my main pain point as I was appointed multiple sales managers as it seemed like they were going through a management change. I thought it was odd that I talked with the sales manager for all of my communication regarding the wedding up until the day of I was assigned an event manager who I met 1 hour before my ceremony. The sales manager was still on property the day of but I thought it was weird I didn't receive any information that I would be working with someone else the day of. I highly recommend this venue if you're looking for a beautiful and fun place to get married!!
