​Our names are Craig and Nancy Rogge, and we have lived on and owned this property for over 34 years. We have raised two children here and have used our barns and property all these years to raise horses, cows, chickens, ducks, rabbits, cats, and dogs. We have 30+ years of wonderful memories and stories on our little piece of paradise! ​Our barns were built in 1944 by a previous owner, Walter Kurzweil, who our street is named after and who used the property and barns for a dairy farm. Walter Kurzweil had deep ties to the Raymore community as well as had family connections to the Maxine Dean family (Walter was her Uncle), another prominent Raymore name. ​ If you go back even further, our property was granted to a young man in 1857 as part of the “ScripWarrant Act of 1847.” At that time, public land was gifted through this Act to military personnel for their service in the Mexican-American War.

We’re a modern yet rustic barn-style venue located just 30 minutes South of Kansas City yet out in a secluded country setting off black top roads. And if you are having an event that requires folks to come from out of town, we offer group room rates to accommodate your guest’s hotel needs. We are available for set up of the space, as well as tear down and cleanup of the venue once you are finished. We provide tables, chairs, and linens. We also provide items for rent to use while you are utilizing our facility such as chairs covers, punch bowl, wrought iron garden arch, and mirrors for the center of tables. The Ivory Grille Restaurant and Lounge are available for both catering needs and bar needs.

The Venue is a unique space that allows you to host your event with pride and confidence. The Venue is located in the downtown historic district of Sedalia, Missouri. We are located within two blocks of The Hotel Bothwell and across the street from Kay's Bridal and Tuxedo. You and your guests are also within walking distance of restaurants, bars, barbershops, beauty salons and the Ozark coffee shop. The building has been renovated by adding modern touches to the original charm that was created in 1906. The Venue's main level exhibits industrial chic accents such as; Grand chandeliers, string lighting, concrete countertops, exposed brick, the original hardwood floors and punch tin ceiling.

The Farmhouse KC Events is a brand new wedding venue in Independence, MO, purposely built for private parties and special occasions. Surrounded by beautiful landscape and charming features, every effort is made to provide couples with a memorable experience. Ideal for weddings during all seasons, the modern farmhouse venue is an inviting and country chic space. The Farmhouse KC Events offers couples a featured wedding day package to complement their big day. Beginning with a 13-hour rental period and an on-site event manager, the venue aims to provide a hassle-free planning process. Venue rental includes the use of the silo bar and outdoor patio area, along with designated getting ready suites.
