We welcome guests who are planning a wedding, family reunion, graduation, corporate outing, or any other type of celebration. We have a large tent (20 ft. x 100 ft.) on a concrete pad for outdoor events and climate-controlled restroom facilities. The restroom building also has a separate dressing room area. A large pavilion is also available to serve as an area to serve food and beverage. A pergola with a large concrete area is available for the wedding ceremony. We are constructing a 10,000 sq. ft. indoor event center with a January, 2023 estimated completion date. It will include a catering area, bar, bridal suite, additional restrooms and a large patio area next to the pond.

In 2016, Cedar Grove’s owners, Kevin and Julie Claus, were sitting on the porch of Stillwater Lodge with some friends, gazing upon their 65-acre property. With 6 cabins and 2 lodges running smoothly, it was time to start planning for their next adventure. They talked about their 3 children growing up on the property, and reminisced on how so many milestones were celebrated. With all their kids growing up, they talked about them finding love and how wonderful it would be to see them married on the property where they shared so many memories. That was the day the dream began! Kevin quickly grabbed a napkin and feverishly started scribbling sketches of a large lodge that could hold all of their friends and family, celebrating the futures of their children. In true Claus fashion, they did not let this vision pass them by, and got to working on the lodge right away.

What could be better than a wedding at a brewery? We offer spaces for your ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Get married in our gazebo or beer museum. Makoy Center is a full-service wedding venue located in Hillard, Ohio. For over 35 years, this family-owned business has collaborated with engaged couples to design weddings that embody all of the wonderful emotions that come with saying “I do”. Couples can host grand receptions of up to 400 guests at this magnificent venue with an outdoor ceremony garden option, in house food and beverage options, and ample free parking. Outside catering is not permitted at this venue. With three different room sizes covering 30,000 square feet, host a celebration of any size and style. The Emerald Room elegance starts with modern vaulted ceilings, wood dance floor, and custom event lighting. Built with a French art deco design, the Burgundy Room is perfect for your energetic reception. Equipped with a large dance floor and event lights, a stage for your wedding party, and built in bar it’s the perfect area to dance the night away. Our Mezzanine room is quaint and designed for more intimate events.

The entire venue is yours, and this includes surround sound music (yes, you may cast up your own device!), 2 ideal photo backdrop walls, 8 tables, 30+ chairs, a lounge area, and free parking.
