Finding The Valley at Neshanic and booking it for our NJ December 2023 wedding truly felt like finding a hidden treasure or a diamond in the rough! They don’t have too much information online or on social media but don’t let that scare you away! This is a beautiful venue that I don’t feel gets the credit it deserves! We were well taken care of every step in the process, from booking, logistics, today of! The food was incredible and still something my guests rave about. We had about 120 guests and it was a perfect size! Book your wedding here before the popularity gets too known!!! Thank you so much to the entire team at The Valley at Neshanic for making our day truly magical!!

Where do I even begin? We got married at the Grain House at the Olde Mill Inn on May 23, 2024, and it was nothing short of perfect. The entire wedding planning process was made easy thanks to everyone at the OldMill Inn and Grain House. They are very responsive, which is crucial when planning a wedding. My grandmother and grandfather had their wedding reception here back in 1957, so I knew I wanted to meet with them to discuss having my wedding there. It was the first and only venue we met with. After going on a tour and discussing the different packages with Lea, I was sold. They take care of your accommodations, catering, bar, cake, tables, chairs, etc. My wedding planning “to-do” list was cut in half! Everyone is so accommodating and they really work with you to make sure your day goes perfectly. So many guests told us how they never experienced wedding food to this level. Everything was DELICIOUS! Better yet, we actually got to eat as the bride and groom. The property itself is gorgeous. John was our Matre d’ and he was the best! He made sure we stayed on time, he ran food from the cocktail hour to me and my husband when we were taking photos, and he coordinated with our vendors so we didn’t have to worry. His efforts did not go unnoticed. Once again I had guests come up to me and tell me how amazing he is. I also had guests reach out after to tell me it was the best wedding they have ever been to. All of our vendors were fantastic but the Old Mill Inn and Grain House really did the bulk of the work to make it an unforgettable experience. The hotel itself was wonderful to stay in, everything was so clean and the breakfast was delicious. I wouldn’t change a thing about my wedding day, everything was perfect and I really have the Old Mill Inn and the Grain House to thank for that. I would recommend the Old Mill Inn and the GrainHouse to anyone planning a wedding. It really is the ONLY choice in my opinion. You will not be disappointed.

The relationship with our partner farmers at Double Brook Farm in Hopewell is the cornerstone of our menu development. Additional proteins, vegetables and grains come from local area farms and specialty growers. Once here, guests will dine in the thoughtfully renovated original 1800’s farmhouse of the Double Brook land, which sits adjacent to the fields on which many of the animals have pastured. Events at Brick Farm Tavern are meant to highlight the best ingredients of our region with unique themes and experiences.

Brick Farm Tavern wasn't the first venue we booked; we had a deposit on a vineyard barn in Vermont with promises of local farm-to-table fare & an indoor-outdoor experience. It all fell apart due to scheduling issues, but I can say with certainty that was for the absolute best. Brick Farm Tavern delivered on all the things we had hoped to find in Vermont, and then some. Most importantly, it was all-inclusive; we no longer had to pay per fork, per chair, per napkin for a luxe experience. If you have never been, go there for dinner, and you will see what I mean! We wanted guests to feel like they were being hosted at a high-end house party, and judging by the fact that we couldn't get anyone to leave, even hours after the bar went to cash (and then closed), I know it was a success. On Experience: Bolstered by lovely weather, we had full use of Brick Farm's grounds: patio seating, outdoor games, and later on, the firepit. Most of our guests chose to spend their time outside, but that didn't stop the dance floor from picking up steam! While finding space for a band might be difficult at the Tavern, we supplemented our DJ with two acoustical performers (see Justin Jones music!) that were even able to follow us outside during cocktail hour. They kept pace with the vibe of the evening, transitioning between acoustic guitar and dance music; the cozy size of the dance floor made it always feel full! The firepit outside allowed less rhythmically inclined guests to experience a different vibe, without being stuck staring at the dancers from their tables. Brick Farm even made s'mores kits for guests to enjoy! On Food: We knew the food was going to be good (it always is), but it was spectacular, personalized, and served with care. We chose not to assign seats because there were more guests than seats. No one seemed to mind, and unlike with a bad seating chart, no one complained either! Guests could wander up to food stations when they pleased, be served a meal of their choice (we even had vegan options!), and eat wherever they wished, either inside at the tables or outside on the patio. Plus, the servers were so attentive; they walked around, checking on us and our guests constantly! People often joke they don't get to eat at their own weddings; well I ate! The staff brought me hors d'oeuvres in between photographs, made me a plate from all the stations & set it with a paired wine from their reserve. The highlight of the reception for me was absconding the immaculately set wine cellar for dinner with my closest friends and family. It was so lovely I could cry. On Drink: Speaking of wine, the Tavern did not hold back on our open bar. For many of our friends and family, this was the highlight - the quality of the alcohol served was the same they would serve patrons of their restaurant. My uncle could not stop talking about being served Troon beer, and my bridesmaids loved the Lemon and Bees cocktail. I am underselling this, I think because I am not a drinker, but just trust me that no corners were cut by their bar staff. As an aside, I should mention that they also included a free valet service, so I had some peace of mind as the night came to a close. Brick Farm Tavern made our reception unique by tailoring the experience to us, and our guests as individuals, simultaneously. Everyone enjoyed themselves: introverts, extroverts, old and young - it sounds too good to be true, but I guess you just have to see it to believe it!

My wife and I got married in Princeton in August, and we hosted a dinner / welcome party at Ficus on a Friday evening. We cannot recommend it highly enough for an event! Every course of dinner was phenomenal, and it felt like we were getting 5-star quality food at a very reasonable price. The smoked salmon canapes, ratatouille, seabass, potato croquettes, desserts - all superb (and that's not even half of the things we ate!). The h'ors d'oeuvres were also delicious, and the service was extremely friendly - Quinta and the team were great to work with prior to the event as well. The space itself was perfect, with a good amount of room on the outdoor patio and plenty of space inside. (We had 80 people at the event). Perfect for folks who might be a little more COVID-cautious and prefer to eat outside. If you want to host an event in Princeton, Ficus is a great spot.

We held our rehearsal dinner and welcome party at Plumsteadville Inn and we are so happy we did! It was the perfect kickoff to our wedding weekend! We held both events in the upstairs banquet room, which worked great with our numbers (about 40 rehearsal dinner guests and an additional 50 welcome party attendees), as everyone had enough room to walk around and mingle. Matt and team were very easy to work with throughout the whole process from booking the space, choosing the menu, accommodating for food allergies and night-of service. The food, of course, was delicious! And the staff was so attentive and took care of us the whole night. All our guests had a great time. Highly recommend booking your next event at the Plum!

We had our wedding at The Fuge and were so happy with our choice! Gene and his team were incredibly communicative, kind, and willing to make our vision a reality throughout the whole planning process. On our big day, Gene coordinated everything and took care of all the details so we didn't have to worry about a thing. We were even given upgrades like upgraded chairs and couches that really elevated the space. The Fuge has fantastic onsite catering and is such a unique, one-of-a-kind venue that was perfect for our wedding. All of our guests raved about what a fun event it was and how much they enjoyed themselves. As every bride reading this review will know, planning a wedding isn't easy. You start your planning process reading every vendor review and eventually find things you like and feel convinced these people are going to make your day easier, and perfect but that feeling doesn't always hold out throughout the entire planning process. With Normandy Farms, however, that couldn't have been further from truth. From our first visit to the day of our event, Normandy carried themselves professionally, communicated effectively, and ultimately gave us everything we asked and paid for. To this day, we still received compliments fro our guests on everything from the bartenders (s/o Julian) to the food and event staff who made the day perfect. Thef ood was excellent and the buffet stations offered really catered to our casual but elegant event. The venue worked spectacularly with all our outside vendors and not a single glitch was to be accounted for. The only feedback I provided Normandy Farms regarded a miscommunication about the fabric draping options they provided , but ultimately, for the right price, my vision was carried out to perfection. The second piece of feedback was regarding the billing technology offered. It's 2023, there should be a way to make the venue payments online, not solely via check in person. Having the hotel onsite was an immeasurable bonus and really added to the ease of the day. Our guests still rave about the breakfast buffet the day after.

Just a quick walk away from the 45th street R train, our taproom is a fantastic venue for weddings, after parties and engagement parties. Our bar offers locally made craft beer, wine, and NA beverages. As we have a New York State Liquor license, we are happy to accommodate cocktails by request and work out a beverage plan that works best for our patrons. Our taproom features 2,500 square feet of usable event space, perfect for a wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, welcome cocktail hour, bridal shower, engagement party or bachelor/bachelorette party. Our event team is happy to work with any prospects to help plan an unforgettable party experience. We currently do not provide food service on site, but would happily aid any patron with finding high quality catering in the area.

We were incredibly lucky to have our wedding at Five Boroughs. We loved the flexibility to make the event exactly what we wanted in terms of decor and food as well as the actual logistics of the wedding itself. We chose to get married and have cocktails on the production floor, then party in the taproom, with two food trucks at the curb. It was a great size for a 68-person event, although I can see it working for a slightly larger crowd, too. Five Boroughs worked with our wedding planner to iron out the kinks and help get the timing right, which was especially crucial as we were the first wedding they ever hosted. From an accessibility standpoint, it also worked out well since parking wasn't a challenge and the train is right there (and Melody Lanes is right there for afterparty considerations...). The space is incredibly photogenic as well. Just a lovely night to remember; highly recommended.

Celebrate your next occasion on the Navesink! Our Main Dining Room has spectacular views of the Navesink River through the large, fully functioning glass garage doors. This room can accommodate roughly 50-60 guests. The Rooftop River Room is a fully enclosed rooftop that offers nearly 360-degree views of the Navesink River. Similar to the Main Dining Room it features two solid glass garage doors that open, in addition to the two sliding glass doors on the right hand wall. This room can accommodate roughly 30 guests. The Turtle Room is located on our second floor, and accommodates 20 guests. This room boasts an upscale relaxing environment coupled with the benefits of a private space. And last, we have our Starfish Room, this room allows roughly 30 guests. The Starfish and Turtle room are connected to each other with private restrooms and a small bar located at the center of the room.

I can't speak enough about how easy it was to work with everyone at 26 West. They let us tweak the menu for our rehearsal dinner, and with views of the Navesink from upstairs it was a great night. The service was spot on, and in a day and age where there is a shortage of staff, they made sure everything was taken care of. Anything that anyone else needed they were on top of.
