Our venue offers an all wood Amish barn, tucked back in the trees, next to Emma creek. The numerous mature trees, multiple flower beds and 2 fire pits offer a wonderful outdoor atmosphere! The barn features a kitchen, a bar, men’s and women’s restrooms, a loft, a covered deck and a large area for dining and dancing. The barn can hold up to 200 people and has the option for an indoor ceremony, should the need arise. The outdoor space features a limestone stage for a ceremony, plenty of space for yard games, an outdoor dinner, outdoor dancing or hanging out by the fire pits. The outdoor party lighting provides a great atmosphere after dark. We have two parking areas, 1 large lot for guests and a smaller area for the wedding party and handicap parking.  Included in all packages: Chairs and tables for 200 people, bar stools, cocktail tables, wooden spools, arbors and use of the fire pits. We recently added a beautiful 3 bedroom log cabin available with our wedding packages!

From weddings and receptions to bridal showers and rehearsals dinners, the Sundstrom in "Little Sweden" has the space just for your needs. Our Banquet Hall on the main floor is quite elegant with marble pillars and a dance floor. This floor is equipped with audio & visual equipment. Our Dansstalle on the second floor, which has an industrial look, is a blank slate for your unique touch. This floor is quite popular for weddings and proms. We work with 3 local caterers to provide you with full service catering and serving staff. We also provide a full bar. When you book with us, all tables and chairs rental and setup is FREE. Gooseberry Creek is located 15 minutes north of Wichita on I-135. The venue is positioned on the back side of 32 acres, surrounded by the beautiful Kansas countryside. The venue includes a beautiful bridal suite for the bridal party to dress and a 5,200 square-foot reception area. The cabin is located on the creek and is the perfect place for the groom and his guys to hang out and dress for the wedding. The cabin then transitions to the perfect place to spend your wedding night.
