The turn of the century brick building, originally a wholesale grocery warehouse, was built by Augustus Chapel King who founded and operated The King Grocery Company. Mr. King, also known as Gus, is woven into the history of McKinney. His namesake, The Augustus, pays homage to his one-of-a-kind space along with McKinney's storied past. Gather is owned and operated by Darrell and Jill Barnes, a husband and wife team who are thrilled to be able to share in some of your most special moments. Since opening in 2011 Gather remains a staple in the local community. With its historic location, original wood floors, exposed bricks and crystal chandeliers, Gather is an elegant, timeless venue that hosts up to 150 guest providing a celebration that is sure to be memorable. We are an excellent location for hosting bridal or baby showers, birthday parties or quinceaneras, rehearsal dinners, wedding ceremonies and much more.

The Venue offers a bridal suite complete with h/m stations, smart tv+mini fridge, a masculine grooms cabin with smart tv +mini fridge, a large outdoor ceremony space, an indoor chapel, a large covered porch for cocktail hour, (2) kitchens, bar kitchen, and a large catering kitchen. We have two sets of men’s and women’s restrooms, one set at each end of the building. We also have a fully handicap accessible restroom. We have on site lodging as well as a smaller venue for your rehearsal dinner.

Welcome to the Station featuring a rustic farmhouse feel with reclaimed shiplap walls and industrial concrete floors. Our tasteful antique accents are incorporated into the modest decor, making the space beautiful as it is, or easily elevated to more lavish events. Guest of The Station have full use of the foyer, bar, bridal and groom suites, large gathering room, inclusive farmhouse tables, additional seating and tables, bathrooms, sound system, and kitchen! In addition to these amenities, our guests frequently appreciate the functionality of our large rolling door that opens up onto the urban sidewalk of Downtown McKinney. Also appreciated by Station patrons is our open vendor policy, we encourage clients to seek out local resources to fulfill needs like catering, florist and other event-related resources. We are a Smithsonian Affiliated Museum in downtown McKinney. Built in1900 and established in 1970. We have 54 years of service! We have the Art-O-Mat which is a vintage machine repurposed for collectible art hence the Art-O-Mat! People travel all over the world and to McKinney to add to their art collections! The Heard Craig Art Center & Museum has private parking in downtown McKinney with a private garden, gazebo, and Carriage House. The private garden & Carriage House venue space is available to rent and our main house Museum offers group tours, luncheons, bridal tea, baby showers, and more! When you book your tour or event with us you are supporting art, history, preservation, the community, and Kathryn Heard-Craigs legacy.

We offer an array of menu selections prepared by our in house culinary team. For ethnic weddings, we do allow outside catering from a licensed caterer. Our boardroom makes an excellent option for a bridal party getting ready room along with house made Mimosas and culinary selections.
