A native of Oregon, Megan Bamford found her calling to cuisine when she was just a tot. In July of 2013, she was named Pastry Chef on Team USA, a role in which she will always consider being one of the most rewarding experiences in her life. She believes that cooking with fresh ingredients and having a positive attitude are the most powerful tools in the kitchen. Most recently Megan traded her chef coat for a lab coat and studied Food Science and Micro Biology at Penn State. As of May 2017 Megan finally made her way back to west coast to open Bamford Bakeshop with her family.

We specialize in all types of cakes. If you want your special day to have a delicious and beautiful wedding cake you would love to have us make it for you. In addition to that, we also add real flowers to our cakes if our customers want to; however, we only use flowers on our cakes that we’ve grown ourselves in our garden to ensure that there are no chemicals or pesticides that could seep into the frosting. We also offer herbs and dried lavender/ rose petals available.

Farina Bakery specializes in French macarons, delicious cookies and homestyle pastries. We’ve been supplying the SE Hawthorne neighborhood with sweets since 2014.
