Milepost 1808 Wedding Venue and Events was an incredible choice for our wedding. From the beginning, Jaime and her team were incredibly communicative, answering all of our questions quickly and efficiently. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful - we were blown away when we first toured it, as it was much more affordable than the other venues we had looked at that wanted three times as much. Milepost 1808 included so much more in their package, like tables, chairs, and linens, that we couldn't have gotten elsewhere. They were also very flexible, allowing us to use their bridal suite and inventory as needed. Jaime and her team truly went above and beyond to make our special day perfect. We are so grateful we chose Milepost 1808 and highly recommend it to any couple planning their wedding.

Sacred Hearts Cultural Center

Augusta, GA
  • Up to 250 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $1,000

In 1874, Father Theodore Butler purchased a home and a lot in Augusta, Georgia, for $10,000.00 to construct a building to be used as a church for the Catholic population and a school for children of all denominations. A simple Victorian structure served as a temporary facility for the church until work could begin on a larger, more significant building for the group. The first bricks were laid for Sacred Heart Church in 1897 and the church opened with the first service on December 2, 1900. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the building features towering twin spires, graceful arches, fifteen distinctive styles of brickwork, ninety-four stained glass windows, a barreled vaulted ceiling, and intricately carved Italian marble altars. Unfortunately, due to a number of factors, the last mass was held in Sacred Heart on July 3, 1971.

Why you'll love this venue

According to local tradition, the Bond-Bates-Hartley House served as a stagecoach stop and post office, prior to the founding of the town of Batesburg. Crystal with The Hartley House is hands down one of the best vendors I’ve worked with in the greater Columbia wedding industry. Her communication is excellent, she is flexible, and extremely helpful with problem-solving before and on wedding day. She also genuinely cares about her brides, and you can tell she is so passionate about her job and just being a part of the couple’s wedding journey. Hartley House is a stunning venue that is incredibly affordable. From a wedding coordinating perspective, it is such a convenient and logistically simple venue to produce events. I HIGHLY recommend Hartley House.

The Corry House
Union Point, GA
  • Up to 250 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $7,000

The Corry House is named after the Corry family that settled the land in the late 1700's. That same family built the house in 1869, and continues to own the land to this day, ten generations later. After meeting and marrying in Greenville in 1989, Drs. Bo and Ruby Cheves moved to Bo's family farm in Union Point, Georgia. Here, they began the work of remodeling the 150-year-old farmhouse and surrounding grounds. As their two kids grew older, Bo and Ruby decided to build a new house overlooking the Ogeechee River further back on the property in 2007. With the help of Erin and Stanton Porter, The Corry House held its first wedding in 2010. At that time, we didn't have our reception barn or the meadow and forest wedding sites. Folks got married in the garden or in front of the farmhouse. After a few years of weddings, Bo and Ruby decided to run with it and built our temperature-controlled barn in 2014.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Has an intimate atmosphere
  • Raw space for complete customization
  • Both indoor and outdoor options
