Krumbs Cakes

5.0

  • Starts at $45
  • Serves Pleasanton, CA

"I live for the moment when my customers see their incredible edibles for the very first time. Nothing brings me more joy than watching their faces light up with great big smiles. The extreme satisfaction is what gets me every time. Knowing I make dreams come true is why I love what I do."

Christian’s cakes are delicious! A friend who was married in 2021 recommended Krumbs Cakes to us and I am so glad she did! Christian is so friendly and easy to work with, we loved our tasting and everything he makes is delicious! We went with a small 3-tiered cake in the cactus blossom flavor and a sheet cake in chocolate Kahlua. All of our guests loved the cake and I’m excited to order a mini version for our anniversary in 2024!

I've enjoyed mochi donuts from other businesses but someone told me I had to try Mochata and I'm glad I took their word for it. Best mochi donuts hands down that I've had in a long time! I reached out to Erik to inquire about catering mini mochi donuts for my wedding in March 2024 and his customer service was on a whole other level. He was so personable and friendly that I just wanted to order just because of that (go small businesses go!). I asked if he had samples to try and he gladly made a batch and I ended up ordering 5 dozen mini donuts. Everyone at my wedding LOVED them. So much that I didn't even get to have any myself during reception! What stands out the most about Mochata's donuts is that the flavor is actually IN the donut itself. Not just the icing that we're all used to. And the texture? Exactly the way a mochi should taste. Flavors? ON POINT!! The toppings are very generous, especially the Cookies N Cream and Mint Oreo. My absolute favorites are Coconut Pandan, Ube and Strawberries N Cream and my husband always goes for the Mint Oreo. Now that it's post-wedding, I've been having cravings so I ordered more just for my family and I to enjoy. I haven't tried all the flavors yet but I have no doubt that they all taste delicious. I also recently got myself a Thai Horchata drink. I never thought about combining the two flavors together and it was super good! Now I feel like I need to try every flavor of that as well. Thank you Erik for being able to make my wedding day even more special! Definitely plan to be a regular customer for whenever I have a craving.

Auntie Viv's

5.0

  • Starts at $500
  • Serves Pleasanton, CA

Auntie Viv's is an AAPI woman-owned & family operated small business adventure. When we visited Maui for the first time, and I fell in love at “first taste” with my very first Hawaiian shave ice. How I describe this phenomenon: “It literally was like a deliciously flavored, puffy cloud that instantly melted in my mouth & tasted like liquid gold. It was the best epicurean experience ever." I had my sights set on opening my own shave ice business & spending more time with my husband & two young daughters. I found myself being unhappy, working really long hours & it took a toll on my physical & mental health. Auntie Viv's opened Sept. 2017.

We hired Auntie Viv to help cater shave ice at our event and it was a huge success. The communication and planning was a breeze and it took all of the stress out of our event! Their setup was professional and friendly. They had a smiling team of 3 that made for an efficient and quick setup and added really good vibes to our space. The shave ice itself was incredible! Our guests loved to choose their own creations and many went back for seconds! Vivian is so pleasant to work with and you will be happy if you book Auntie Viv for your next event.

Highly recommend PQ as a vendor. Her designs are beautiful and minimalist and her desserts taste just as amazing as they look. I’ve ordered from PQ for various occasions and her desserts are always a crowd pleaser. My personal favorites are her Strawberry Shortie cake and Lady Hong entremet.

Palette Cakes

  • Serves Pleasanton, CA

With an art background as a professional painter, Kellie Velasquez attended the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) to hone her baking and pastry skills. After her first year in school, she sought out the opportunity to work with world renowned Cake Designer, Maggie Austin, where she developed her fundamental skills with wedding cakes and design. After completing the prestigious baking and pastry arts degree program at CIA, she held positions at some of San Francisco’s top bakeries, including Craftsman & Wolves, Susie Cakes, and most recently Pastry Chef at the popular Jane on Larkin.

Kellie is not only an incredible baker but a superb artist as well. We first had her cakes at a friends wedding a little over a year before we got married, and knew from the moment, we tasted it that we were going to need her to make our cake as well. The process of working with Kellie was incredibly easy and super fun. She truly cares about all of her clients. She even hand-delivered our cake on our wedding day and stuck around to watch a bit as we took some pictures, it was just a super sweet touch that made the process feel really personal. We can’t wait to have her bake other goodies for big events in our future!

Sf Candy Bar

5.0

  • Serves Pleasanton, CA

When I opened SF Candy Bar in 2012, the business was busy from the start. In 2012, the economy was just coming out of a recession and Silicon Valley started to attract top talent from all over the world. Experiential add on features, like our candy buffets, was fun at office parties, trade shows and holiday parties. Brides and Mitzvahs also found so much joy in our services. Fast forward to more than a decade later, we have added on more services from popcorn buffets, custom packaged party favors, and trail mix buffets. SF Candy Bar is dedicated to providing stunning buffet designs to guests at special events.

SF Candy Bar was the perfect addition to our wedding, and they truly delivered a 5-star experience. The dessert and candy buffet was a stunning centerpiece that wowed our guests. From elegant macarons and gourmet chocolates to nostalgic candies, every treat was as delicious as it was beautifully presented. The setup was flawless, with intricate displays that matched our wedding theme perfectly. The team was professional, attentive, and made sure everything was seamless, allowing us to enjoy our special day without worry. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the sweet treats, and SF Candy Bar added that extra touch of magic to our celebration. Rating: 5 Stars

Karlie was very easy to work with. We met with her and then based on our conversation she sketched out ~6 different design ideas and also shared some example photos of different design aspects. The final cake looked exactly like what we had in mind. I remember during the wedding telling my husband that I was surprised they ended up using real flowers instead of sugar flowers. We didn't realize until the next day that they were actually sugar! They looked incredibly realistic and matched the floral decor perfectly. Also - the cake itself was delicious. We had plans to freeze some of it and eat it on our first anniversary, but ended up eating it all. Oops. We received numerous compliments from our guests. Thank you Story Cake Studio!

Secret Kitchen SF

5.0

  • Starts at $1
  • Serves Pleasanton, CA for additional fees

I really love cakes and desserts. Like, I REALLY love them! I have professional training in the tastiest pastry areas: from chocolates to caramels, classic to modern European cakes. The wedding dessert table is the happiest place in the world, and my aim is to provide that for your big day.

Elena was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding cake and desserts. I can't say the same about the rest of food we had for our wedding, so I am glad we went with her for the most important part. From the moment we reached out, she was incredibly responsive, helpful and on top of every detail. She listened to my fiancée's (now wife!) desire for an actually TASTY cake with really unique buttercream flowers. I'd never seen such pretty designs on a cake before, but this is my first wedding, so maybe everyone has them these days? Elena even drew a detailed sketch to show us exactly what the final cake would look like. It was a HUGE hit with our guests. Everyone raved about the lemon flavor. It tasted like I imagine a Sicilian lemon tasting without ever having been to Siciliy. The cake and desserts (we had tiramisu cups too!) from Secret Kitchen SF were the standout of the evening, almost eclipsing this modest groom. I definitely heard more oohs and aaaah during dessert than I heard about my tailored suit (waste of money, boys!). We're so grateful to Elena for helping make our special day even more memorable.

Whether its for your wedding or for any occasion, 43 & Co is our go to dessert vendor. I cannot rave enough about 43 & Co - we absolutely love their presentation, taste, professionalism, to how accommodating they are with our requests and they are simply easy to work with. It was one of the easiest decisions when selecting a vendor for our desserts at our wedding. We met Likbin from 43 & Co in 2019 when we were beginning our vendor selection process. We connected and set a date for a tasting specifically for their mini desserts. When we got to their tasting room, it was intimate and straight to the point - the pre-selected desserts were presented on a platter and they even gave us bonus treats to try. The quality of the ingredients are premium and you can just taste it. Fast forward to wedding planning, our wedding was postpone at least 3 times due to circumstances around the pandemic. Every time we reached out to 43 & Co, they expressed they would take care of us whenever our date was! I can't explain how much burden and stress this took off from us! Case in point, we found out with a month away, our cake vendor had moved. We were beyond stressed and took a shot in the dark to see if 43 & Co would be able to make our wedding cake. After a few questions regarding what we were looking for - they obliged and delivered everything we wanted and beyond for our wedding day. They were prompt, came for set up and the dessert bar was a hit. Mini desserts were all gone by the end of the night and the 3 -tiered cake was our favorite - Vanilla cake with passionfruit curd. It was one of the moist cakes we ever had! Needless to say, we are craving their desserts as I type. For sure, we will be going back very soon. :) We want to take this chance to express our gratitude to a small business who truly takes their business seriously and are darn good at what they do. We highly recommend 43 & Co for any event or just because! ;) Thank you, 43 & Co!
