“We got married here in April 2024 and it was so beautiful. When our plans to wed in a National park near Columbia SC fell through due to torrential rain forecast, we stumbled across Chateau Amelia. We couldn't have had a more lucky turn of events, because this place offered exactly what we needed for our small group. I had always wanted to get married in a forest setting and this place delivered! The historic house is so huge and well appointed and the barn is so modern and lovely. You can tell everything is well maintained and it offered so many great moments for photography. We were able to have all our vendors come and go and everything turned out just great. If you are considering Chateau Amelia, run do not walk because this will be a popular venue in the months and years to come.”

We’re John & Jaime Boling, and we turned our corporate blahs into a fabulous dream with Milepost 1808! Growing up on southern farms, we always yearned to get back to our roots. With six years of event planning experience from Greenville Magazine, I thrived on the buzz of big bashes. Then, two years ago, we dove into planning our daughter’s wedding, and bam! I was hooked on the joy of it all! So, we took a bold leap, snagged 30 acres, and rolled up our sleeves to transform our vision into reality: an agricultural paradise, a horse boarding haven, and a stunning event venue! Fast forward to August 2024, and our event barn is finally ready to rock! We can’t wait to bask in all the love as families and friends come together to celebrate. I mean, who doesn’t love a good love story, right?

We have private bride and groom spaces for getting ready, 5 bathrooms, climate controlled main space as well as the bride and groom space. We have a stone patio with fireplace for after hours or cocktail hour and a prep kitchen for catering. Charlyn Farms is the ideal rustic elegant event space. Dress it up or be minimal, this space can fit any bride's wedding vision.

“We LOVED this venue! Everything was beautiful, there are lots of places for guests to hang out while the bridal party takes photos, and the coordinator is very attentive and knowledgeable! The only thing I would suggest is to have in person meetings to discuss plans and expectations rather than by email or text!”
