Milepost 1808 Wedding Venue and Events was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. From the very beginning, the owners were incredibly responsive and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure our special day was perfect. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, with beautiful ambiance both during the day and in the evenings. The gorgeous views of the countryside were the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and reception. When we had to suddenly change venues due to a hurricane, the team at Milepost 1808 worked tirelessly to help us move everything in just one week's time. Their hard work paid off, as our wedding day was truly magical. On top of their exceptional service, Milepost 1808 is also very reasonably priced. We were even able to take our bridal portraits with one of their gorgeous horses, Autumn, and the results were breathtaking. I cannot recommend this venue enough for any couple looking to have an unforgettable wedding day.

Sacred Hearts Cultural Center

5.0

Augusta, GA
  • Up to 250 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $1,000

In 1874, Father Theodore Butler purchased a home and a lot in Augusta, Georgia, for $10,000.00 to construct a building to be used as a church for the Catholic population and a school for children of all denominations. A simple Victorian structure served as a temporary facility for the church until work could begin on a larger, more significant building for the group. The first bricks were laid for Sacred Heart Church in 1897 and the church opened with the first service on December 2, 1900. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the building features towering twin spires, graceful arches, fifteen distinctive styles of brickwork, ninety-four stained glass windows, a barreled vaulted ceiling, and intricately carved Italian marble altars. Unfortunately, due to a number of factors, the last mass was held in Sacred Heart on July 3, 1971.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Designed for grand celebrations

The quality of their work and the value they provided was exceptional - the venue was absolutely beautiful and unique, and everything was executed perfectly. Amy and Dean are super to work with. They make sure your day is the way you want and planned. They also have so many different areas to choose from for your wedding ceremony and each and every one of them are beautiful. The antiques around there property are also such an added attraction. But give them a call. Amy is awesome and so sweet. I love going there to do a wedding because I know everything will be perfect and a delight. She has several wedding packages to choose from to meet your budget needs but willing to add or adjust to them as needed. Their son also works super as a bartender if you are in need of one of them.

Crystal with The Hartley House is hands down one of the best vendors I’ve worked with in the greater Columbia wedding industry. Her communication is excellent, she is flexible, and extremely helpful with problem-solving before and on wedding day. She also genuinely cares about her brides, and you can tell she is so passionate about her job and just being a part of the couple’s wedding journey. Hartley House is a stunning venue that is incredibly affordable. From a wedding coordinating perspective, it is such a convenient and logistically simple venue to produce events. I HIGHLY recommend Hartley House.
