We will do everything in our power to make sure you have a fantastic day!

Beautiful venue, absolutely gorgeous. Staff was friendly and helpful. Personally, if I could re-do anything, I'd hire a different month of coordinator. I felt like I was an irritation, instead of special on my already stressful big day.

The Market at Grelen

5.0

Somerset, VA
  • Venue
  • Up to 250 guests
  • Select services
  • Outdoor
  • Starts at $6,000
  • Offer

Set on Grelen Nursery's 600-acre tree nursery, The Market at Grelen is a magical wedding venue boasting rural simplicity at it’s most luxurious! It has gorgeous 360-degree views and was lovingly designed to emphasize the surrounding natural beauty. Perfect for the creative party planner, The Market at Grelen has a variety of event spaces: a greenhouse, a shade garden & berry field, a large bluestone terrace, a 4500 sq. ft. clear stargazing tent and a groomed pasture at the highest point of the nursery. Located in Central Virginia (only 35 minutes north of Charlottesville, one hour west of Richmond and two hours south of DC), it is PERFECT VENUE for a variety of celebrations. LGBTQ+ friendly.

Market at Grelen is such a perfect choice for your wedding venue. We would choose it over and over again. We love the Market so much and the best thing is that it's open to the public as an actual nursery and place where you can hike, get drinks, have lunch, and get your Christmas tree even long after your wedding. Most places you only return to for other weddings. It's so special that you can revisit. I definitely recommend booking Spotswood Lodge and Boxwood Villa for your weekend stay as well so you're all in one small area. The team at Grelen are amazing. They always checked in on us and kept the process flowing. Morgan was so good to us throughout the entire process and made me feel so comfortable and at ease that everything would flow. She is so awesome! The venue itself is STUNNING. We loved using the whole property for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception so our guests got to see the whole property. Gorgeous views and so many fun options to add on like ice cream, fire pits, cookies, AND they let you pick out plants to use which really adds to the tent. I ABSOLUTELY recommend Grelen. I'm obsessed.

3 Cats Photo

I never thought I would be a wedding photographer. I started my professional career in Boulder, Colorado, riding on the backs of motorcycles, chasing professional cyclists through winding roads and epic climbs. I never thought I would find another career as exhilarating and rewarding but I was wrong. I photographed weddings in Colorado, but it wasn’t until moving East, to Charlottesville, Virginia, that I fell in love with them. I love all of the beauty of the flowers and the pretty clothing, but what I love most is documenting the love between the two of you, and the complete joy of your best day ever. We celebrate all couples!

I've known Beth with 3 Cats Photo for years and it was an honor to have her photograph our wedding. She made my wife and I's pinterest board dreams come to life in addition to taking pictures of all the tiny details we didn't even know we wanted until they existed. Beth is organized, kind, and so knowledgeable in addition to having a beautiful eye for the perfect moments and compositions to make every photo a work of art I want to frame on our wall. (Seriously, I've printed so many of our wedding pictures my wife jokes that I have constructed a shrine to our marriage - and she's not wrong, they're just so cute!).

Avon Hill was honestly the best venue we could have asked for. We only had 45 guests and the lodge housed about half of our guests which made the weekend that much more intimate. The views were absolutely amazing and the hospitality was just as great, Jocelyn was very prompt and willing to answer any and all of our questions and very accommodating to someone who added each lodge separately lol!!! The lodges had everything you could think of and Bruce's Barn was just amazing. It fit our group so perfectly and photographed so beautifully!

Fresh Take is a 5 star, award-winning entertainment band based out of central Virginia. Almost every event band can play the standard guitar hits, but we expertly provide music across a huge range of moods and genres to cover your whole event. We were blown away with Fresh Take's professionalism. Their band leader, Daniel, was incredibly organized and they were a pleasure to work with. Not only did they do all the very important, behind the scenes things right (logistics, communication, SOUND QUALITY, etc.) - their music was top notch. Our dance floor was FULL all night long, and they we were showered by compliments from our guests on our great band. They were also quite flexible - learning requested songs and even allowing a family friend to be a guest singer for our first dance. 10/10 recommend hiring this band!

The Club at Glenmore

5.0

Keswick, VA
  • Venue
  • Up to 250 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $21,000

As a full-service venue, we offer in-house catering, rentals, and several unique locations for your big day! Our beautifully renovated Ballroom was designed with you in mind—it provides a blank canvas to transform into whatever vision you love (and has beautiful local reclaimed wooden floors)! For outdoor ceremony, we have two beautiful options. The first is on the 10th tee. This location overlooks the golf course and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The other outdoor option is the Glenmore Pavilion. Designed by the team behind Pippin Hill, this beautiful, new open-air pavilion overlooks the golf course and the Blue Ridge Mountains, and it is covered so you would not need to worry about renting a tent for your outdoor space. This location is perfect for both ceremony and reception.

Jack and I could not have imagined a better venue for our wedding than The Club at Glenmore in Keswick, Virginia. Growing up in Charlottesville, I knew that I wanted to get married in my hometown. Wineries are a popular choice in Charlottesville, but they are mostly located in the surrounding counties which require a long drive from hotels. Winery weddings can also require coordinating a lot of rentals (decor, tables, chairs, etc.) and finding a caterer. After researching all of the venues around Charlottesville, we chose The Club at Glenmore or many reasons. One, the beautiful and convenient location. Glenmore was conveniently located only about 10 minutes from our hotel block on Pantops which made it easy for guests and shuttles. Even though the location is close to town, it is situated inside a beautiful gated neighborhood with views of the mountains, rolling horse pastures, and well maintained golf course. So it feels like it's out in the country without actually being that far away from town! Two, the full service. Glenmore provides so much for its couples! It has an amazing on-site chef so we did not need to find a separate catering company. This was one of our main deciding factors! Couples even do the food & wine tasting at the venue which makes for a fun day trip :) Glenmore provides all of the ceremony chairs, reception chairs, tables, glassware, serving ware, flatware, etc. So we did not need to rent anything except purchase some decorations. Speaking of decorations, Glenmore has many decor pieces that we were able to use! They have arbors, prosecco walls, a boxwood wall for photo opps, votive candle and holders, charger plates, up-lights, bistro lights, etc. Three, the amenities. Getting ready spaces, ceremony locations, cocktail terrace, reception ballroom - Glenmore has it all! Glenmore has a beautiful bridal suite that the ladies in my bridal party were able to use all morning. The bridal suite has plenty of room to get ready in, hang dresses in, store decor in, and even take pictures in. There is a separate space downstairs where the guys can get ready in too! We all enjoyed spending the morning and early afternoon together in these spaces while eating breakfast and lunch prepared for by Glenmore! The space was also convenient for our vendors too. They could come and check in with me throughout the morning since I was getting ready on-site. There are many ceremony locations to choose from if you want your ceremony at Glenmore. We actually switched our ceremony location within about 2 weeks of the wedding and Glenmore was very accommodating with this switch. Finally, the beautiful ballroom was another major deciding factor for us. We had our wedding in the summer, so we knew we wanted to have the reception indoors in an air conditioned room. Four, the staff. Glenmore takes pride in providing top notch service to its clients. Kim, the event coordinator at Glenmore, helped us so much from start to finish. She walked us through the wedding process, answered the many questions we had, worked with all of our vendors, met with us for our tasting and walkthroughs, made sure that all of our requests were met, and coordinated the entire Glenmore team on our wedding day. If you are looking for a beautiful full-service wedding venue with everything including an amazing on-site caterer, top notch staff, convenient location, and gorgeous views, Glenmore is the place for you!!

spent a whole weekend here for my wedding. If you're looking for a stress free and organized wedding Chanel is your girl. She had a complete timeline for all things and makes sure the bride doesn't have to do a thing. Her venue is very beautiful, vintage, and just perfect! The rooms are beautiful, however the only downfall we had were the beds were not comfortable at all which made it difficult to fall asleep. We had her husband Jim officiate our wedding as well, he is just as helpful and sweet as Chanel is.

Ashly Kaye's Catering Services

I am a thirty-nine year old mother of two. I have been in food service for over twenty years, and have been catering for fifteen. I specialize in southern style food and absolutely love trying new foods any time. I was taught to cook by my late Grandmother starting as soon as I could sit on a counter top.

Ashly Kaye's Catering Services provided excellent catering for our daughter’s rehearsal and wedding. From the initial consultation to the day-of service, their team was responsive and proactive in their communication. They followed up with us regularly to ensure all of our menu preferences were accommodated. On the wedding day, the food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the staff was attentive and professional. We received numerous compliments from our guests on the quality of the catering. Ashly Kaye's Catering Services made the catering process seamless, and we highly recommend them to any couple planning a wedding.

Hi! I'm Kelly! I'm a wedding and portrait photographer based in Charlottesville, VA. My specialty is couples' photography - surprise proposals, engagement sessions, and weddings! I capture love stories all over Virginia and Washington DC! Everyone's story matters. That's why I believe it is important to let my clients know that I am an LGBTQIA+ and BLM ally.

Awarded Best of Zola
If I could give more than five stars I would! Kelly is the absolute best! Kelly is professional, supportive, calm, yet assertive (needed with a large bridal party). She is absolutely everything we wanted in a wedding photographer and more. Kelly shot our engagement pictures as well as our wedding day. Both shoots were available for us within a very reasonable time which is great when you are anxious to see the result. The wedding photos are filed into categories which makes it very easy when downloading your favorites. We had way more wedding photos than we thought we would get which is a fantastic surprise. Kelly's photographs are soft, but also true to color which was exactly what we wanted. Kelly made us feel completely comfortable during photos and is so kind. She also worked super well with our other vendors (videographer, etc.). We absolutely love her work and are unbelievably thrilled that we chose her to be our wedding photographer. If you are considering using Kelly, do it! You will not be disappointed.

There are so many options to make your event exactly what you want it, and the staff is so great and easy to work with. Best of all- the fees go towards sending special needs children to camp. Tiffin Farm is a small, regenerative farm in Free Union, Virginia. Originally built in the late 1970s, the newly renovated barn is a grand and inviting location for wedding ceremonies and receptions. We are Lauren & Travis, a husband and wife team that just loves a good love story. We think your wedding day is more than just a pretty picture, and our number one priority is to document the memories that matter the most.

Awarded Best of Zola
Having Lauren and Travis capture our day was the easiest decision we made during our entire planning process. They kept our day organized and flowing. Though we knew Lauren and Travis beforehand made it much more special, but even if we hadn’t known Lauren and Travis before our wedding, I know they would still have made us feel comfortable and at ease the whole day. We were speechless when we received our video, it was absolutely beautiful. It was like we were reliving the day all over again. They couldn't have captured our story any more perfect. It was very moving in its seriousness of how we feel about one another yet still had an upbeat and fun characteristic to it; it was a perfect blend of both moods. Don’t hesitate to book Laureland Films for your wedding, elopement, adventure, etc. The amount of creativity and quality they put into YOUR story is beyond measure. We cannot recommend them enough.

The Carolyn Baldwin Lake Pavilion

5.0

Farmville, VA
  • Venue
  • Up to 100 guests
  • Select services
  • Outdoor
  • Starts at $1,200

The Carolyn Baldwin Lake Pavilion is named after our dear loved one, Carolyn Varner Baldwin, who unexpectedly passed away in 2008 due to an allergic reaction. She was the matriarch of our family and a beautiful, one-in-a-billion type of person with a generous and loving spirit. She was a talented gardener, a devoted fisherwoman who could out-fish the best of 'em (we're talking "sun-up-til-sundown" kind of fishing), was creative and artsy, and never knew a stranger. We felt it only fitting to name this lovely place in her memory. We are a family-operated business. Joanna is the General Manager and works with each client to accommodate varying event needs. She handles a wide range of aspects of the business, from answering questions about what will make your event run smoothly to giving you layout suggestions. She has worked with over 200 wedding & event clients over the last 10 years and has learned quite a bit about weddings & event planning through her experiences.

Awarded Best of Zola
My husband and I were initially scheduled to get married in September of 2020, but we ended up postponing due to COVID until October of 2021. From contract signing through postponement and leading up to the final day, Joanna was a dream to work with. I was planning the wedding from New York, so I was really scared about all the details and worried because I wasn't able to come see things in person. The whole time Joanna was super helpful and made sure we had all the information we needed to have a wonderful day. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, no matter which season. We had our wedding right as the leaves were at peak foliage and it was beautiful. It was a little chilly the day of, but we were able to have the propane heaters running underneath the pavilion and all the guests had a great time. The sound system is really good, and it's so convenient to have the ceremony and reception in one place. The only caveat is that the pavilion is kind of isolated from anything else to do on the weekends except maybe some walking and hiking. However, this is compensated for in the price. You will be hard pressed to find a better financial deal with the offerings and capacity of the Lake Pavilion. GREAT if you are on a budget, and in my opinion you don't lose out on anything by picking this venue over something more expensive. Thanks Joanna, for everything!

Perfect for weddings, reunions, corporate outings, and other celebrations.

We couldn’t have chosen a more perfect venue for our wedding! The venue itself is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views and beautifully maintained grounds that made for the most amazing backdrop to our special day. Special thanks to the venue coordinator, Katie, who made the planning process so easy and stress-free. She was attentive, responsive, and truly went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. She was always available to answer any questions I had before the wedding. We met a month prior to the day to discuss the timeline of the day which helped make the day stress-free! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a dream wedding location. It was truly a day to remember! We chose Food for Thought, the in-house caterer for Earlyhouse and the food was nothing short of spectacular. The Local Restaurant & Catering

5.0

  • Caterer
  • Serves Mineral, VA

The Local is a full-service catering company that specializes in weddings, social gatherings & corporate events. Grand or intimate, focused on tradition or leaning toward trendy, your vision along with our capable guidance will reflect your personal style. Our staff is committed to details, offering unique options, bringing creativity and passion to the planning process.

It's been weeks since our wedding, and we're still getting an insane amount of compliments and questions on our wedding dinner! One of my bridesmaids even asked if I could get the recipe for The Local's truffle mushroom pasta (the resounding favorite from all of our guests, and for good reason). The other favorite (especially from my husband) was their apple crisp. It's common knowledge that the bride and groom don't get a ton of time to eat on the wedding day. We'd built out a private dinner right after cocktail hour but before sunset photos, and we got to eat a little bit of everything. Let me tell you -- I'm still thinking about the scalloped potatoes I had. I could have had an entire plate of those and still have been happy. We also had the chicken and green beans, and it's an understatement to say everything was incredible. Every dish was high quality, remained hot through the buffet, and were filling but didn't make you feel too heavy/sleepy to dance all night afterwards. Not only was the food amazing, but working with Helen and her team through our engagement was so easy. The Local is very thorough and sends over clear paperwork, including a contract with all items and payments broken down, and they were really responsive with any questions we had along the way. They even had a specific food option for those with allergies or dietary restrictions. Their team also helped set up and take down everything, and really made our dreams come true with the place settings and floor plan. It was absolutely beautiful. Overall, we could not recommend them more, and are hoping we get to attend a wedding where they're the vendor so we can eat more of their food! Thank goodness they're also a restaurant; we'll definitely be going there to relive our wedding dinner yet again :)

Jack Looney Photography

Jack is a longtime Charlottesville-Albemarle resident, and currently lives in "downtown" Crozet. He's been a full time photographer in Charlottesville's wedding community for 17 years. Specialties include surprise engagements, and weddings ranging in size and complexity from elopements with a handful of guests, to multi-day celebrations with many hundreds of guests.

Jack is so wonderful. From our first call, we knew that he would be our guy. He is so laid back yet still professional. It was easy for all of our guests to approach him for photos if they wanted. He kept an eye on the sunset and whisked us away for a few amazing shots. He quickly got the obligatory family shots out of the way, very painlessly. He even suggested another local place to go for our first look that was more private and so beautiful. He really looks out for you and what you want. Also, he works insanely quickly. He is really fast to reply to emails as well. You cannot go wrong with Jack. He did such a great job and helped us to relax. HIGHLY recommend him. Book him already!!

Hi there. I originally hail from Georgia, but am so happy to now call Charlottesville my home. When I'm not chasing down perfect sunlight, you can usually find me tucked away somewhere with a book, writing, enjoying life with my partner Charles, styling my 1920s home, or snuggling with my Frenchie pup, Finny.

Awarded Best of Zola
I don’t even know where to start. Audra was amazing, I don’t know how but we had crazy weather for both our engagement shoot (Canadian wild fires making it the smokiest day of a decade) and our wedding (hottest day of a decade at 100 degrees feels like 110). But Audra could not have been more amazing, she was so flexible and handled all the weather hurdles like such a pro. She was able to take all the photos we wanted and make us feel so comfortable while doing so. She captures such beautiful moments and was so patient when people were late or grumpy about the heat. She then handed us some of the most beautiful photos I’ve ever seen and made me feel so gorgeous and that I was back in the moment with my husband. I seriously love every photo so much I think she has such a gorgeous style that can take a simple moment and turn it into a work of art. I cannot recommend her enough.

From developing black and white images in the darkroom to capturing day-to-day happenings as photo manager of the high school yearbook, my camera became an extension of me. I wanted to document the moments of the people I cared about - whether mundane or significant - and create something beautiful. Fast forward ten years and I’ve gone on to complete my Bachelor’s, Master’s, and clinical to become a registered dietitian nutritionist. I’ve had a thriving career at UVA Medical Center for the past five years and witnessed firsthand both the value and fragility of human life.

We cherish our wedding photos and we were in awe at the way Lucy beautifully captured our special day like a story. She was so patient, gentle and encouraging and we'd recommend her to anyone! Trump Winery

Trump Winery is the venue where your wedding dreams come true. Whether you’ve envisioned an extravagant event or an elopement for just the two of you, we promise to create memories that you and your loved ones will cherish forever. Our 1300 acre property is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, conveniently located 20 minutes from downtown Charlottesville. Our grounds have picture-perfect rolling hills, lakes, and over 200 acres of vines. Trump Winery couples benefit from indoor and outdoor ceremony, cocktail hour and reception settings, in well-appointed, heated and air-conditioned, luxury venues. Less than a mile away from both the Barn & Pavilion and the Grand Hall is our Albemarle Estate at Trump Winery, a 26,000-square foot, 11 bedroom mansion that provides overnight lodging for guests and a honeymoon night option for couples.

My husband and I chose Trump Winery for our wedding venue because we wanted a chapel for the ceremony and a barn for the reception. Luckily, Trump Winery had both, so best of both worlds! We are very happy with our decision because some guests danced on the dance floor while others went outside on the patio to talk and enjoy the winery views. It can be difficult to talk while there's music blasting. Beth Zitzman, the Events Manager at Trump Winery, was very helpful and friendly from the venue tour to throughout the wedding planning process to the day of the wedding. Trump Winery does have strict vendor rules. One being the caterer has to be a vendor from their Preferred Vendor List, which is listed on the contract. The other vendors don't have to be from the Preferred Vendor List, but they have to be approved by Beth after the vendor fills out two vendor forms and adds Trump Winery as an additional insured company on their certificate of insurance. This process wasn't too bad as all the vendors I chose that weren't on Trump's Preferred Vendor List got approved. For a sparklers exit, Trump Winery requires galvanized buckets and sand for the used sparklers. Trump Winery also requires a day of coordinator. Cody Smith was my day of coordinator and she's the best! She's very familiar with Trump Winery and has been in the wedding industry for years. Cody is so on top of things and responds really quickly to emails and texts. She made my wedding absolutely seamless! All my guests told me they really enjoyed the wedding and the venue was wonderful. I was awestruck when I saw all my photos, beautiful and classic venue!

Each event, at it’s root, is a story. It’s a unique story of that moment in time- a newborn coming home, a bride and groom embracing or a grandmother on her 85th birthday - and it's an important moment to hold still. My role as a photographer is to tell that story as honestly as I can. I want people to look back on these memories and remember it exactly as they experienced it. That’s why I aim for transparency in my photography that neither adds nor takes away from the moments that I am documenting.

Meredith was an absolute joy to work with! Her warm, fun energy instantly put us at ease, allowing us to feel comfortable and be ourselves, which truly shines through in our photos. She has an incredible eye for not only capturing the background, lighting, and surroundings perfectly but also bringing out the unique personality of everyone she photographs. We did our engagement photoshoot in NYC, which captured a cool, chic city love story, and our wedding day photoshoot at a vineyard in Charlottesville, VA, on a beautiful summer day. The vineyard setting was so dreamy, and Meredith effortlessly captured the natural beauty of the day, making every moment look timeless and elegant. When you look at her pictures, it feels like you’re reliving those moments. Her shots are full of life—not stiff or posed—but vibrant and authentic, capturing the true essence of each moment. Meredith was also incredibly kind and easy to work with, offering thoughtful advice both before and during the shoot. This was our first time having professional photos taken, but thanks to her, we felt relaxed from the start. Her work is a perfect mix of classy, modern, and elegant, with a splash of fun and a seize-the-day vibe. We’re already excited to work with her again—hopefully for our next photoshoot, when we have a baby! Cannot recommend her enough - just do it, book her!!!

My favorite things on earth are love, fashion, flowers, sunshine, family, humor, music, architecture, and food—these are the components that make a wedding day. I make art documentaries about love. I will not direct you, and I will not apply a filter over your footage so it looks like a basic wedding video. Every couple and every occasion is given their own special light and feel. I am obsessed with capturing your event in the realist way possible, meanwhile creating a piece of art you will cherish forever. I fixate on expressions, color, texture, light, and composition.

Amanda hands-down created our favorite, most-lasting souvenir from our wedding - a lovely 4-minute video that highlighted the most special moments from our celebration. Her thoughtful, calm presence was much appreciated and I couldn't recommend her more!

The photoshoot itself was so much fun! I was worried it was going to be awkward but she knew just what to say to get us great photos that really let us and our relationship shine through. The Market at Grelen is thrilled to announce the opening of its newest venture, The Grelen Depot. With historic preservation, art and beauty in mind, this versatile property was thoughtfully renovated and designed by Grelen Co-Owner, Leslie Gregg. Her objective was to enhance the charm and character of the lovely Main Street by creatively restoring this classic old-world structure situated in the historic town of Orange, Virginia. The Grelen Depot boasts high ceilings, ample natural light, an art gallery, bar and lounge areas as well as a loft space with a range of seating options. Each space has its own distinct personality and all can be used for a variety of events including weddings, rehearsal dinners, holiday parties, workshops, corporate retreats, and more. The Depot also features a luxury suite, called The 118. This space has a living room, bedroom and glamorous full bath.

The Depot in downtown Orange, Virginia is everything you could hope for in a special event venue. I have had the privilege of shooting 2 separate events in The Depot's event spaces, and I hope to return for more. Each space within the depot is thoughtfully designed with beautiful details, making it the perfect backdrop for any special celebration. I typically try to avoid indoor venues due to a general lack of quality lighting/backdrop opportunities as a photographer, but I have loved every minute that I've worked at The Depot. Everywhere you look presents a new backdrop opportunity, and the spaces are filled with ample natural light during the daytime. Working with the Grelen Events team is always a breeze, and they are eager to resolve any day-of questions or concerns. You really can't go wrong booking The Depot for your next celebration/event!

Nestled on 13.6 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and grounds, Boxwood Villa exudes an old-world charm that will transport you to a bygone era of elegance and sophistication. This garden wedding venue and historic property is named after the stunning boxwood bushes that encircle it, creating a magical and romantic atmosphere. One of the most romantic wedding venues in Virginia, Boxwood Villa was originally built in 1891 and is located just outside the town of Orange, Virginia. It is an idyllic backdrop for weddings, offering an intimate and exclusive setting for couples looking for a unique and unforgettable experience. The delicate architecture of the house exudes elegance and charm, with spacious grounds that feature lush gardens and towering trees that are perfect for outdoor ceremonies and receptions. With its blend of traditional elegance and contemporary amenities, Boxwood Villa is an ideal choice for couples looking for a truly magical venue.

We had our wedding at Boxwood Villa on May 4, 2024, and it was completely perfect. Our family from out of town came a few days early to get settled and prepare, and there was plenty of space for us to spread out and also to hang out together. The beds were insanely comfortable and the accommodations were amazing. While we planned to have the ceremony on the front lawn, the rain had other plans and the team jumped into action and was ready to host our 30 guests on the spacious, gorgeous covered porch. The cocktail hour was held on the first level, and the beautiful house made for some incredible photo opportunities. The lawn was the most amazing place for the tent where our reception was held, and it was just as magical as everywhere else. Everyone commented on how perfect the venue was, including my family. I can't wait to visit again in the future to re-live these incredible memories. Thank you, Boxwood Villa!!!

L'etoile Catering

5.0

  • Caterer
  • Serves Mineral, VA

We began serving Charlottesville with French and Virginia-inspired cooking at our restaurant, l’etoile, in 1993. Our catering business grew out of that experience, and out of our desire to take part in the celebrations, the rituals, and the ceremonies of people throughout the Central Virginia community. Catering allows us to reach, care for, and serve a larger audience, and to customize consistently excellent culinary experiences for our clients. We have a history of procuring the finest, freshest ingredients for the meals we create and serve, and access to those ingredients through relationships we’ve cultivated for more than 20 years.

L'etoile has been a preferred caterer with our venue for years because of their professional and quality approach to weddings. They are always easy to work with and over deliver on event day. We are thrilled to be able to work with them!

Sound Enforcement DJ Service

For over seventeen years my business has focused on weddings. It is my goal to create the atmosphere you have envisioned and help make your ceremony and reception flow smoothly. My style is low key and can be summed up in a few words as, "Elegant Fun". The day should be approached with elegance and poise, but at the same time remembering it is also a celebration. After all, that’s why you have invited your friends and family to your wedding. I love what I do. I love music, and I love weddings. I take great pride in what I do but my goal is not only to play music; it is to ensure that every wedding I do is better than the one before.

Sound Enforcement DJ Service was a fantastic addition to our wedding day! From our first interaction, their team was polite, professional, and fun. The DJ really listened to our preferences and added his own touch at just the right moments to keep the dance floor packed all night long. His energy and ability to read the crowd was impressive - everyone was on their feet dancing the entire reception. The value we received for their services was unbeatable, and we are so grateful for the seamless way they contributed to making our special day truly unforgettable. We highly recommend Sound Enforcement DJ Service to any couple looking for an amazing DJ that will bring the party!

Sam Hill Entertainment

  • Band/dj

Sam Hill Entertainment is based out of Charlottesville, VA with bands located throughout the Southeast. Over the last 25 years, Sam Hill has helped tens of thousands of brides and grooms book the best in live music across the 50 states and for fly-in international weddings! Our bands cover Top 40 hits, fiery versions of Soul, smooth versions of Motown, elegant jazz classics, toe-tapping bluegrass, and country - it all exists among the performers we work with!

We used Sam Hill Entertainment to book the band “The Dickens”. This is the part of our wedding everyone is still talking about. They played such a variety that every age was able to enjoy. Not a single person was sitting at the tables while the Dickens were on the stage. They were very interactive with the crowd and even let the groom (a guitar player) get up there and jam out with them. This was such a fun addition to the wedding and we loved every minute of it!

I’ve been a wedding photographer for 11 years, but I’ve been an artist since I could hold a pencil – and I’ve been in love with stories just as long. Of all the ways to create a life around storytelling and art, I’m so glad to have found this one: weddings are filled with stories both intimate and profound, and with elements of beauty that delight the artist in me. I love the challenge of seeking, finding and capturing the beauty I see, and telling your story as I see it unfolding before me.

Ayesha was an absolute dream to work with! She was so good about planning all the different kinds of shots we wanted ahead of time. She was willing to get on as many phone calls with me as needed during the planning process (I had so many questions beforehand)! And she was wonderful at reminding me of all the different kinds of photos/portraits we should get. Our wedding was a typical South Asian wedding, which meant we had 3 different days of events, and Ayesha covered all of them flawlessly. Needless to say, it was A LOT for one photographer to handle, but she did it all beautifully and we (including our families) couldn't be happier with the final photos. We cannot recommend her enough!
