What started as a hobby, putting edits together of dates or events at our church, we’ve always enjoyed the process of film making. After, a close friend of ours asked us to film her wedding, we opened the doors to our business and have enjoyed every step that has followed. We have come a long way since our first edits, and each have a wide range of skills that compliment each other's. Since a young age, Ben remembers photography being a big part of his life. His dad loved photography as a hobby. Growing up, Ben and his sister picked up their love for the craft through learning from their dad. Ben started out making videos of local bands for fun. Eventually he decided to venture into other types of film. In 2017, Ben asked to film one of his close friend's wedding. The rest is history! After other friends saw the film, they asked Ben to film their weddings. In the first year, Bodnar Film Co (originally Ben Bodnar Films) shot 20+ weddings. Ben couldn't do it all alone. He taught Jenn how to shoot and she joined the venture!

It all started when of my cousins asked if I would film their wedding. Although it was not easy and I definitely had a lot to learn, I accepted. We met in elementary school, Derek was 2 years ahead of me at a small private school where everybody knew everybody. We knew of each other for 11 years before we finally became friends 2 years after he graduated.
