This historic barn is situated on a 43-acre working farm and offers a variety of services for your special day to ensure a memorable experience for you and your guests. Welcome to Alber Orchard & Freedom Winery. Only 30 minutes west of Ann Arbor or an hour from Detroit, our beautiful orchard provides a perfect country get-away in the rolling hills of Manchester, Michigan. This beautiful land was deeded in 1832 by President Andrew Jackson, and acquired by John Alber in 1881 to operate as an orchard and cider mill. Today's owners, Mike and Therese Bossory, are preserving the centennial orchard, gazebo, barns, and cider press to assure your family or special group with a clean, safe, relaxing time on the farm. Alber Orchard is also the ideal location for your wedding or special event, and we look forward to hearing from you. The championship golf course provides a gorgeous backdrop whether you're celebrating indoors or out. You'll also have a choice of multiple ceremony and reception sites, all of which are surrounded by lush lawns and thick groves of trees. Natural light fills the banquet room through the floor-to-ceiling windows. This versatile space includes a large wood dance floor, and it adjoins an open-air patio, a tented area, and an outdoor tiki bar, making it easy for guests to mingle beneath the stars in the evening. You can choose from a plated or buffet dinner menu, both of which feature delicious classic entrées, skillfully prepared in-house. Chiavari chairs, tables, settings, and more come with all packages, and convenient add-ons such as centerpieces make planning simple and seamless.

Zingerman’s Bakehouse is an artisanal bakery with a baking school in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We started 30 years ago as a simple bread bakery with a single customer, Zingerman’s Delicatessen. Today we make bread, pastries, cakes, lunch items (and so much more!) that we proudly serve to guests in our bustling shop, our Zingerman’s partner businesses, the southeastern Michigan community and beyond.
