In 1910, President Taft signed the bill to establish Glacier National Park as the country’s 10th national park. Mr. Healy was given a plumbing contractor for the train depot here in St. Paul, where he met Samuel Bartlett, the architect of many of the railroad depots and Glacier National Park Lodge. Healy then commissioned Bartlett to renovate and enlarge the house. In 1914, the farm was sold to John Healy, the owner of Healy Plumbing and Heating Company of St. Paul. Mr. Healy’s company became closely tied to the Great Northern Railroad, as it provided the heating and plumbing for many of the train depots that were being built around the country at that time. The farm was named Hope Glen Farm, the name of John Healy’s mother’s maiden name of Hope, and the house settles in a Glen, thus Hope Glen.

Our new wedding & events facility is a heated & cooled vintage, European-style carriage house to match our existing civil war era (1858!) brick house. The Carriage House can accommodate 150 guests in the warm months and 100 in the winter. The space flows into the gardens and expansive patio area for additional seating. It is 4,200 sf. ft. complete with tables, chairs, outside ceremony/reception areas, bar/food area, a portable stage for your head table, a Bridal Suite & Groom's Den. We have 3 large overhead doors that open up to a scenic view of our bluffs where you can have your ceremony & reception. The inside venue seats 450 guests and with the doors open we can accommodate over 750. The best part is that all of it is yours Friday through Sunday! Cabins & Campsites We can also offer your family & guests cabins & campsites to stay during your big day. We have three different cabins & 75 electrical & primitive campsites. Come celebrate!
