An all-encompassing event venue. We are located only 10 minutes west from downtown Wausau right off of Highway 29 near Marathon City, WI. Under new ownership in 2022, the venue has been completely renovated to bring this historic space new life — with an open floor plan and modern amenities, the legacy of the Rib River Ballroom lives on.

The Rose House is in a unique and historic building that was built in 1925. It is most widely known for being the elegant and delightful “Hot Fish Shop” for many years. The upper level which is currently inoperable was once known as the Belmont Hotel. We spent the first half of 2019 working hard to expose the beauty in these walls and give it a flare of our own. Our goal is to provide you with a classy, historic, and artsy “blank canvas” allowing for your events to be just that, yours. We offer a historic downtown vibe for your wedding day and are always honored to celebrate with you. We are prepared to offer both ceremony and reception space. We have a gazebo, arbors, pond, willow trees, waterfalls, gardens and open fields. The barn can hold up to 300 or have the barn and a tent combo to hold more! Chairs and tables are included and we have many optional add-ons to help take the stress out of some of the planning details!
